5 stars for an insanely unhinged MMC that is obsessed with his wife ??.

1 star for the “historical accuracy” lol

Highly recommend if you’re looking for a crazy obsessed MMC with a slightly cruel streak, but not if you’re looking for a dark historical romance.

(Also there are some really gross moments near the end of the book that impacted my rating, all I have to say is the MMC gets jealous of leaches taking blood from his wife
