I love MC bad boy books and having the opportunity to review this work by Kacey I was unsure of what her work was never hearing of Kacey as an author before but she is a definite author I will be stalking from now on.

Not only is this a MC read but it's also a wonderfully written love story that has so many twists and turns you will never see them coming.

Be prepared for not only some OMG moments but also a lot of WTFs you may experience some ahhhhhhh moments but please don't expect this to be your average love story cause it's soo not that.

If your after a bad boy read and you love HOT men in leather and riding bikes then you have chosen the book for you.

I am a huge Kacey Hamford fan and when I found out she was writing an MC book, I just had to read it. I was not disappointed.

Heather is married to James, a member of the Devon Destroyers MC, and she is 8 months pregnant. Her life changes dramatically when her husband is killed right in front of her and she is forced to live at the Devon Destroyers MC clubhouse. She is given a skimpy little bra and panty set and made to perform on stage for all the brothers. She learns she must do this on a regular basis in order to pay off her deceased husband's outstanding debt to the club.

Blade, an enforcer for the Devon Destroyers, is trying to come to terms with the fact that his wife and daughter were brutally murdered. When he sees Heather, something about her makes him want to protect her and her unborn child, at all costs. To keep her safe and away from all of his hungry brothers, Blade lays his claim on Heather by moving her into his room at the clubhouse. He needs her to understand that if she doesn't "play house" with him, she will be fair game for any one of the Devon Destroyers to have their way with her and toss her aside.

I absolutely loved this book. It had me wanting more and I so desperately need to read book 2 yesterday.

The start of the book had me hooked from the beginning. Heather lost everything because of her husband. She watched him get killed and then was taken away from the home she loved.

When she arrived at the compound heavily pregnant she was made me dance on stage, Cammie took her under her wing and made it slightly easier.

Then enters Blade. He senses something in Heather and wants to look after her, protect her from the president of the club. At first I think he did it out of being a gentleman after losing his wife and daughter and her being pregnant but slowly he changed towards her. He was warm, gentle and protected her, but soon he wanted to feel her against him and in his bed.

The attraction was natural and grew, it didn't feel forced and the characters grew with the story. I d that Blade wasn't all the other MC's. I d that he was gentle when he needed to be but rough and ready when he wanted something, usually involving Heather.

I loved how Cammie more of a character and how she progressed in the story. Especially when she disappeared and Blade helped find her, again I think this was more for Heather.

The book left on a cliffhanger that I never expected. I've so many questions, did Blade leave internationally? Has he been taken? Where is MY Blade/Kade???

Kacey please hurry up with book 2. I need it now please.

I've read the odd one here and there but nothing that's really drawn me in. Yep ive obviously not been looking in the right places because I absolutely loved this book.

May I just make it plainly clear now #BladeIsMine ask kacey I claimed him first (hehe)

This book all of kacey's works is full of twists and turns. You will experience emotional overload. It will fill you with hope and then whip it out from underneath you. *bam*

Heather is sweet and innocent. Although her husband has dealings with the Devon destroyers she has no idea of the way the club runs... Until one day when her life is snatched from her! Will she remain in control, or will the fateful day be the end of her life the way she has known it.

Wow what a fantastic book and start to the series, this is about a biker called blade and a girl named heather who was forced into the Devon destroyers MC. Great storyline, i loved blade from the start and he just kept getting better and better, except maybe the cliffhanger at the end, but there is alot more to the story than what heather was told by uno the president and the other bikers, all the secret phone calls blade was receiving. There is one thing i would say about this book which is i did not any of the other bikers i came across in the book that were Devon destroyers, don't think any of them were telling the truth about anything and were caught out in lies alot, did Neil to start with then not so sure towards the end (maybe he will change my mind again). Other characters in the book i loved were Cammie for sure and Tiffany and of course baby Liam.

My hopes for the second book is we find out what happened with blade and of course the girls have headed to Cornish Crusaders MC so im hoping they are going to be alot nicer bikers and we meet some new hot sexy men, and of course heather gets a happy ending she deserves. Would also to hear more about her sister daisy which im sure we will in the next book. Hope cammie also finds a great man.

So i have enjoyed all Kacey Hamfords books but this is my favourite so far.

The writing flows smoothly and it is a light fun read. I'm very fuss when it comes to MC books, I find when an author gets them wrong they are very bad, there is no IN between it's really bad or really great. Never fear though as this is definitely a book I will re-read.

Blade the badass is the right amount of tough and sweet and definitely my sort of alpha. Heather is perfect for him as she knows when to relent and how to stick up for herself.

As we all know this book has a cliffhanger and luckily we won't have to wait to long for the next book. Usually I'm pretty good at being able to guess where the story is heading and where it will end up BUT I never guessed how this book would come to its conclusion.

The characters and plotlines were well developed mentally and emotionally. The story dragged me in from the get go hence why I read it in one sitting.

Out of all the characters I only ended liking 4/5 in the end of the book. The rest I was "HEY ARSEHOLE".
It's not a bad thing it just means I can't wait see where the next book takes us.

This is the start of a new series and oh how I wish the next book was out too. This book still isn't out yet and I want the second book already. This is another hit for Kacey Hamford. The book starts out with Heather seeing her husband James shot and killed before her. The Prez of the Devon Destroyers, Uno says she has to come with them to work off James' debt even though she is very pregnant. Blade, an enforcer, with the club says he wants Heather for himself so he can keep her safe. Heather has to dance for the club members and any visiting clubs. I don't want to give any spoilers, but I want to say there is love, laughs, danger, and many secrets in this first book alone. You will get to meet a lot of characters from the Devon Destroyers, plus you learn that Heather's sister is married to the VP of the Cornish Crusaders MC. Will Heather and Blade/Kade find love or will they be separated? Why does the Destroyers want Heathers baby there so much? They are in for a big surprise there!! Another MC read to add to my collection and I wasn't disappointed with this read.

There is a slightly different take on the biker world and starts from a prospective.

Heather is married to a biker and heavily, but is not immersed in the biker world until one day her world comes crashing down around her. She thought she knew her husband, but secrets are revealed in the most horrific way. Killed in front of her by her husbands MC, Heather is taken to the club house to work off the debt that her husband created. All though is not as it seems and there are more secrets and revelations.

Blade is an enforcer within the MC, but with an ulterior motive, and revenge in mind against those that took away what is most precious to him.

He takes Heather under his care as he feels it is his duty to do so.


An intense read, that has so much within this book. This is the first book that I have read by this author and I am wanting the next in the series.

The story flows perfectly and you are taken on a ride that you will never forget.

Ok let me just state this..... I am a huge mc romance fan.. But let me tell you about this book... But I ain't going to revel a single thing about the book.. This is Heather’s story. Heather becomes property of the MC when they killed her husband. Blade claims her as she is pregnant and the club wants her to work off her husband’s debt with them. She still needs to pay off the debt but rather than a sweet butt she will dance and give the woman and sweet butts beauty treatments. The more time she spends with Blade the more she falls for him. He helps her adjust and once the baby is born helps take care of him. But what happens when everything you were told before and since you husband died has been a lie? What is they wanted one thing from you all along? Did Blade ever love her? Will this betrayal be the thing that finally breaks her? What is Heather going to do now that all the lies are out in the open?

I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

Heather wasn't all that much into being in the biker lifestyle but she married ones anyways, and this resulted in her being pregnant and taken to pay her dead husbands debts. Enter Blade. The enforcer. The chemistry builds between them both but not in a way where you scream at the book for it to hurry up.

In usual Kacey Hamford style this book had me hooked from the get go. Not only is Blade one hot biker but a kind man too. There are so many twists and turns that you don't see them coming. Kacey always has me falling in love with the secondary characters and Cammie was certainly no exception. I cannot wait to find out more about her as this series progresses.

This was a great MC read to add to my favorite reads. This was a new author for me to read and I was really impressed with the story on how well it flowed and the characters were all the lovable bad boys that you grow to love. I was really hooked on the first page and then it really grabbed me in the beginning. To see what Heather had to go through and that the Devon Destroyers were there for her husband who owed a debt to the MC. Blade is the enforcer for the MC and decides to make Heather his ol lady to save her and her unborn baby.

This book was so good it had me flipping the pages so fast. There was some twist and turns that kept you hanging and guessing. This is a great new MC series to be looking forward to when it comes out.

MC books are my addiction, I can't read enough of them and this book is no exception. The fact that it is based around one of my favourite places in the UK is just an added bonus. I could not put it down and had to fight to actually put it down and go to sleep or work.

Blade and Heather start out as an unconventional couple but you fall more in love with them the further along their journey you get. There is a cliffhanger at the end but that just leaves you wanting more.

I adore an MC Storyline and I am always happy when a new club enters the fray.
So the arrival of the Devon Destroyers had me chomping at the bit.
Heather is married to one of the guys in the club but as much her life was, she really was naive to the whole club scenario, but she is about to get a very abrupt introduction because what she didn’t know was what her husband was up too–because it appears that he had pulled the wool over not only her eyes but his brothers in the club and when he is cut down in front of her by the club itself, she is left at their mercy, the only issue she has is the fact that she is pregnant and completely out of options.
Blade is the club enforcer, the man that Heather will come to understand that she needs to accept what he is offering if she wants to keep both herself and her child safe.
But why has he stepped up to the plate and claimed Heather as his, having lost his wife and child, is this his reasoning?
Blade knows that Heather has to work of the debt her husband has left behind but what they expect from her is too much for him. Claiming her as his old lady is the only way he can save her from the other guys and their ways.
But can Heather, accept her role and can they convince the other guys that what they see is what they get?
Playing at being in a relationship is not the best way to start out but it gives the two of them the time they need to get to know each other and it keeps the club wolves at bay.
Blade was a super character, I really took to him almost immediately.
But there is an undercurrent of mistrust, lies and innuendo, the club from President down is playing their cards close to their chests and Heather is at the centre of it all.
I was hooked by the subterfuge, the lies were clouding the whole story and it just made me desperate to find out what the hell was going on.
Had Heather’s husband really been as bad as they made out?
Why was she responsible for his misdemeanours when it was obvious she knew nothing about what he had done?
Why does it seem the club are determined to have Heather’s baby with them in the club?
I d the way the situation between Blade and Heather was give and chance to grow, the way he looked out for her and the journey that they both took, not only together but separately. Their journey was realistic, it had its ups and downs but they had an undeniable attraction that they eventually had no choice but to give in too.
But is it all about to come crashing down?
Is the love she was feeling misplaced?
How will she feel when the secrets and lies are revealed and what options does she have now?
The ending…damn!!!

This is the first MC (Motorcycle Club) romance book I’ve read – I have read a straight MC book which was brilliant), so I wasn’t sure what to expect when I opened it up. The summary had intrigued me and I was looking forward to reading it. Sadly, I felt it didn’t quite live up to the blurb.

As I read, I felt that the author hadn’t done much research beyond watching Sons of Anarchy. At the time of reading, I had never seen the show, but I have now and the similarities are glaringly obvious. Yet, the idea behind the story was a good one, and that is what kept me reading. I wanted to know what happened to the characters.

Overall, my complaints list is longer than the things I enjoyed. Things such as needing another round of editing as the writing was often showing rather than telling, and the emotion was somewhat lacking. Rather than write ‘knock, knock, knock’ why didn’t Hamford describe the knocking and why it scared the characters? It distracted from the flow of the story. Also, in many places, the language is far too colloquial and reads someone is speaking rather than conveying a story. This worked brilliantly in the dialogue, which I felt was the strongest aspect to the story, but not so much in the descriptions and narrative. Also, another round of editing would pick up a couple of mispelled words that made me stop reading for a second, particularly the use of the wrong homophone in a sentence.

The characters, particularly Cammie – I have a thing for secondary characters, and Neil, were well rounded, believeable, and able (most of time tim, I’m looking at you Prez) which, coupled with the dialogue, kept me wanting to know what was going to happen. Cammie and Neil, as mentioned, were my favourite characters. There was something about the two of them that really boosted Heather into a pretty good main character. Their support obviously means everything to her, and it showed the way she protects them in return.

While the concept for this book really appealed to me, the execution left a lot to be desired, and while I am on the lookout for more MC books to read, I’m unsure if I’ll read more in this series.

It's been a while since I read an MC book, until I read An Honest Mistake by Lucii Grubb. Then I got the taste for MCs all over again. Kacey offered me this book for review and I eagerly waited for it to appear on my kindle. I started reading this afternoon at around 12 and was finished by 3:30. I would have finished sooner, but I put it down for a while as I wanted to prolong it, knowing I'd need book two and it isn't available.
What can I say about Devon Destroyers MC? It's a fast-paced, thrilling read. It's packed with all the drama, suspense and intrigue that you could wish for. And there are some really hot sex scenes in there that left me all hot and bothered! Sexy bikers covered in tattoos, an intriguing storyline and a well rounded, well written story arc, what more could a reader me wish for?!
I'd award more than 5 stars if it was possible, that's how much I loved this book.
Kacey takes you on a ride you won't want to get off, I know I came out of it kicking and screaming and pulling my hair out. I loved him, now I hate him. I feel sorry for one character I didn't think possible. I despise certain other characters. It's safe to say I've been a jumble of emotions today.
I admit I actually cried a couple of times, but the worst time was at the end. What the hell is happening? Where is Blade and if he can be bothered to try, will be earn his redemption?

Devon Destroyers MC is only the second MC book I have read and a first by this author.  I was very impressed with this book. I really enjoyed it.

I received a copy of this book for an honest review. I love love this author. So of course I was excited!!

These characters were so damn hot to read about - be prepared !! Lol! I was pretty much drawn in with their story from the beginning. I loved the loyalty the characters had towards one another and what they would do for each other.

The relationships formed in this book were amazing and surprising at times. These characters go through many situations and difficult ones at that. This story shows you how they overcome these situations together and shows you how some people are never who you knew them as or expected them to be.
