Three days ago, my twin brother disappeared.



To find him, I involved myself in the supernatural world he lived in and had always protected me from. All kinds of monsters dwelled in the dark of the night, and I would be putting myself out there for them to find me, but if that was what I needed to do to get Henry back, I would do it.



I wasn’t expecting to cross paths with Beatrice. My brother’s employer, and leader of the vampires in the city, and I certainly hadn’t expected her to be so familiar. There was a connection between us, something I couldn’t explain. And the way she looked at me…



Romance shouldn’t be on my mind, but it was hard to deny that my heart quickened when she was near, or when her eyes moved over my frame. I could see a hunger and longing in her gaze, and it scared me and made me want her in equal measure. She might just be the only one that could help me save my brother, but I feared I would lose myself in her before it was all over.
