Sinopsis

In San Francisco’s legendary North Beach, Italian-American families still celebrate old-world passions – for beautiful women, sexy men, family, friends, and luscious food—and love graces the lives of those who least expect it. Join the DeGrazias and the D’Angelos as they discover the everyday angels of North Beach.  Lita Lawson’s past with men ranges from dating disasters to nearly criminal. The last thing she needs is to fall for the city’s most notorious bachelor, gorgeous and successful—at running his father’s strip clubs—Lorenzo Calabra. Lita knows what she wants—marriage and family—and Lorenzo is an unlikely candidate. Besides, she’s already in a relationship with her college sweetheart, Rich. But, one night, Rich, in a drunken rage, attacks Lita. She defends herself, but turns to Lorenzo for support, ending the night in his arms.  Lorenzo, knowing no one, including his best friend—Lita’s older brother—wants him to be with Lita, and afraid his dark past will shadow him forever, vows to stay away from Lita. He must protect her, especially from himself. But Lita doesn’t want protection, she wants Lorenzo—as her husband. Long-kept family secrets and love draw Lorenzo and Lita together, but their families and Lorenzo’s doubts and player ways threaten their new relationship. Can they convince their families, and themselves, to say yes to love?  This old-school romance features a virginal heroine, bad boy hero, marriage plot, family drama, and everyday miracles.

Reseñas Varias sobre este libro

What I LOVE about Say Yes is the large Italian family (two of them, actually) with their Sunday dinners, uncles, aunts, and cousins, everyone being in everyone else's business yet supporting one another for their choices in life. We saw a few of these characters in Dirrty and I'd pick up another Everday Angels book just to experience the families again.

Then there's the romance part of this romance book. It's gut-wrenching with its ups and downs from page to page (literally). I love how the hero, Lorenzo, grows by the end of the book. He is a troubled soul who really needs to discover himself. Fortunately, he is able to love another enough to learn how to love himself.

Lita, the heroine is a character that I couldn't quite relate to because her goals in life are so different than mine (I won't say more because I don't want any spoilers). That said, the emotions of happiness, frustration, doubt, joy are universal and every time she felt, I felt alongside with her.

My favorite book (so far) by Celia Juliano is Dirrty, but I'm hooked on the Italian families. I will be reading more of this series just to get my Italian fix.

I'd actually rate Say Yes at 3 1/2 stars if I had that option. 1 Jessica McBrayerAuthor 42 books96

This book was rich in family traditions and full of ITALIAN LOVE. The two main characters go through their trials but while doing it Ms. Juliano develops deep relationships with them. The colorful neighborhood descriptions and the setting of San Francisco were a plus. I don't normally read romance but I would recommend this book.romance1 InD'tale Magazine8,678 327

"Say Yes" has a lot going on, so much so that one can get lost in the timeline.

Love is blind, this is what i thinking when read this book.
The heroine is to forgiveness with the hero, i want to hammer the hero when he always say "i'm sorry" and the woman kiss him.
After married for a while, he already kiss back the woman who kiss him first *kick the hero*
i can quite believe there is hero in the book this, but in the real live, i think many man this hero, so i give one star to make it reality hero and i the supporting family which show in this book.

The ending is so short, i to see if the hero really change, that he not cheating again and i love if the heroine grow mature not lovesick girl.sam virgin Tonya278 10 Read
