I was laughing out loud at this scene!

We have Krista, who gets exiled from a religious commune. Meets Thon and his brothers. They make a marriage bargain. Some antagonistic shenanigans ensue, then we have the epilogue.

Not the greatest summary but I loved this. The book missed 1.25 stars because we came from basically the initial meetup/journey with fucking to the epilogue. Yes, it would have made the book longer if we got to see Krista adapt to her new home, but I felt it was needed.

I loved that the ending sets up future books. I absolutely love that while the trope of miscommunication which I hate with every fibre of my being is sort of there, Krista and Thon sat down, talked about it and by the end of the book they're on the same track. I absolutely adored and hated that Thon wasn't willing in any shape or form to go against/hurt Krista in any way, even at times when they were both basically on the same page, just not communicating well.

So enjoyed this. Hopefully there are more books in the series. Ramona Rebarchik86

Cinnamon Roll

I was very pleasantly surprised by this story. It is complex with a lot of cultural issues and not just quick rutting so many orc stories, and Thon is a protective cinnamon roll. I'm glad she got her head on straight, and I would not have minded a bit more denouement, but it ended well. Daenerys Targaryen662 2

Couple of long love scenes.
Female main character started out strong but ended up clingy and confused.
World building need some work (Think of Home bound by Lydia Hope).
