This series continues to entertain with ghost whisperer Gianna Mancini. She attends a Halloween party hosted in the home of her boyfriend's boss, Carter. Everyone is in masks and costume and unidentifiable. Carter is murdered and an eye witness points out Gianna's boyfriend Julian's costume as the culprit. Gianna is determined to prove Julian innocent by teaming up with a reporter.

Having read a few books in this series, it never disappoints. A couple of unexpected twists will let the culprit reveal leave you surprised. i look forward to more fun with Gianna.

I received an ARC from the publisher for purposes of an unbiased review.

Ghosts, Private Eyes, & Dead Guys Earns 5/5 Vampire Kisses…Entertaining Treat!

Halloween is Gianna Mancini’s favorite holiday, and not because she has the ability, since her near-death experience at the age of eight, to see, hear, and talk to dead guys and gals. She loves dressing up and enjoying the scary trick and treats, so attending a big Halloween party hosted by Hudson Carter is the perfect way to get her haunting on. Mr. Carter is the senior partner at the law firm that has Julian, her beau, on speed dial as a private investigator and fixer, and the reason they got a highly sought after invite. Gianna, a mini-skirted witch, and Julian, as “her ghost” (inside joke) realizes the gathering surpasses all expectations. To Julian’s discomfort, the evening includes an elaborate haunted house, but what started out as a spiritualist’s friendly fun, ends with a prophetic cry, “Watch out! There’s danger ahead…” Sure enough, Gianna finds the host bleeding out on the floor, and when he’s asked “Who stabbed you?” Gianna is worried, he fights to answer, “Ghost.” Where is Julian’s costume?

Jennifer Fischetto has penned a “No Trick…All Treat!” sixth book in her Gianna Mancini series just in time for the Halloween season. The death of Hudson Carter turns very problematic for more than just the victim since Julian gets arrested for murder, and when Carter pops into Gianna’s room, giving her the inside track in the investigation. Although he starts out confused and unable to name the killer, he agrees to forego crossing over and provide as many details, direction, and insights he can to clear Julian. What a compelling drama with plenty of compelling issues and suspects from members of the law firm and clients to those who may have a grudge. Jennifer’s writing style uses a present-tense form making it something to get used to, but her well-developed story, witty banter, rich characters, and a shocking conclusion make this quite an entertaining read. She has created a fun family dynamic and an endearing relationship between Gianna and Julian, and beyond the murder mystery, readers get further insights into Julian’s past and the ins and outs of being a “ghost whisperer.” A favorite ghostly gem!

Mr. Carter's parties are known to be epic but this one turns out deadly. Gianna's boyfriend Julian is arrested for the murder so now it is full steam ahead for Gianna to try and uncover the real murderer with the assistance of some unusual sources.

I have read and enjoyed all the books in this series. I really enjoy the great characters, the family dynamics and Gianna's unique abilities.1 Cindy75 1 follower

Julian and Gianna, are invited to the company Halloween party of the law firm where Julian works.
Gianna, as a big Halloween fan, she dresses up to the max. Because of the late arrival of Julian, he pulls a sheet over his head to be dressed as a ghost.

During the night Carter one of the partners is stabbed, Gianna finds him.
When the police and the paramedics arrive Carter says that the Ghost stabbed him.
Julian is in the room, but doesn’t wares his Ghost costume, he lost it when he went to the bathroom.

Later that night, Carter appears at the Deli in Gianna’s apartment,
Julian is arrested, for the murder of Carter.
It’s a great cozy mystery, it kept me right on my toes.
Wow, Jennifer really got me with this one, I didn’t find out who the killer was until the reveal in the last chapter.
All the familiar characters make their appearance, also several new characters appear and some are to stay.

Read the book and find out.
Your gonna love this series as I do!

In a series that mixes fun with murder, this sixth book continues in the tradition as it opens with a Halloween party that has it all. Unfortunately it also has a murder. When Julian is arrested for the murder because of his costume, Gianna decides to find the real murderer and get Julian out of jail. Fortunately she has a helpful ghost this time!

I have enjoyed every book in this series, and this one is no exception. Family is a major part of these stories, as well as determination to do the right thing. Gianna has those both. I love the ghostly characters especially this time, and hope Gianna's new friend sticks around in future books. I also particularly enjoyed all the detailed descriptions of the Halloween party.

Another terrific book by Jennifer Fischetto. You won't want to miss this one!

Gianna is thrilled when her PI boyfriend Julian takes her to a costume party given by his firm. However, she is not impressed with his ghost costume, a sheet with holes cut out for his eyes and mouth. Things go downhill quickly when one of the partners is murdered and the murderer was wearing Julian’s costume. He had gone to the bathroom and took off his costume at the time. Julian is arrested quickly, and Gianna is determined to prove his innocence. She has some help from the recently deceased partner and another ghost who hasn’t been able to cross over yet. I really enjoyed this book, particularly the part of the storyline with the relationship of the two ghosts. Jeanie Jackson2,283 35

Ghosts, Private Eyes, & Dead Guys is one of the best books of this fun series. When Julian is arrested for murder and denied bail, Gianna is desperate to prove that he is innocent but the going is tough until an out of town news reporter offers to join in the search for the real murderer. Trust a newspaper reporter? Gianna is reluctant to rely on the woman but watching Julian's deterioration behind bars makes her desperate to prove his innocence. Her delightful family is up to their usual shenanigans but they recognize how serious the situation is and willing to offer any support they can.cozy-amateur x-2021-read Suzan457

In Ghosts, Private Eyes & Dead Guys, Gianna and Julian attend his company's Halloween party. Of course, murder occurs. Gianna, with some supernatural assistance, is going to have to find the murdered because Julian is arrested for the murder. The books in this series stand alone, but taken together are even better. This well written, ,humorous mystery was one I could not put down. E1,598

I really enjoy this series. The characters are fun, especially Gianna's family, and the stories are just those feel-good cozies. This was an especially interesting story, as Gianna had to help solve a murder where Julian was the main suspect. This time no one could really blame her for butting into the case, there was no way she'd sit on the sidelines for this one! A great read. Rose167 1 follower
