Ruckus at the Rodeo is the third book in the Whisper Creek series. It is set in Whisper Creek, Colorado, and I love it! So many familiar places are in the story and because I live in Colorado, I just feel I'm living in the story! What more could you want in a story? There is a rodeo, a murder, a rodeo queen, and many old friends from the first two books. Theo, and Jordan are two of my favorites along with Indigo Blue and Jupiter. The story is great and leads to an ending that requires a bottle of Stranahan's whiskey! In the story of course! Great book! I can't wait for the next one! 1 Janet Richardson23 1 follower

Oh I am so enjoying the wonderful inhabitants of Whisper Creek and their visitors!

JC has the ability to bring each and every character to life with their own special personality and traits.

The mystery behind the story is just another one of JC’s incredible writing abilities to keep us guessing and coming back for more!

I am totally enjoying the endearing qualities of Indigo Blue, and Jordan. It was fun to be able to get a bigger picture of Mr. Henry and his history to the town of Whisper Creek.

Ruckus at the Rodeo is the 3rd book in the Whisper Creek Mystery series and as wonderful as this book is, I really hope the author has plenty more planned for this series!

There are so many more great characters who need a story, imo, because they are great characters. I have a love/hate relationship with Mamie, as it sounds she has with her daughter, Theo. I'm anxious to see what's behind all this and truly hope the author lets us peek more deeply into her past and why she seems to prefer Patty so very much. That said, there was a great scene where Mamie really gave Patty what-for, which I enjoyed immensely!

I'm also loving Georgia and her son, Lennon, and hope they visit Whisper Creek in future books. All of J.C. Wing's characters jump off the page and many of them I'd love to meet. She does such a great job describing everyone and everything, that I'd feel right at home walking down the street in Whisper Creek so I could meet everyone.

The mystery in this book was very interesting and the process of uncovering whodunit made me suspect a few people, ultimately being incorrect in my suspicions, which always makes me happy!

If you're looking for a great read where you'll pick the book up, be drawn in quickly, and not want to leave, this is the series you should pick up next.

Whisper Creek is feeling even more a town I want to visit now that I've finished book number three in the series. Ruckus at the Rodeo showed more insight into some of my favorite characters while leaving me with a need to know more. I can't wait to continue uncovering layers of Theo, Jordan, Delaney, Mamie, Patty, and of course, we can't forget Trix. Combine the mystery and romance with some of the most adorable two legged and four legged littles you'll ever read about and Ruckus at the Rodeo becomes a "can't put down" story that I had to finish in one day. This whodunit is one you don't want to miss, even though your guesses will probably be wrong.
JC Wing never disappoints with characters you just know must be real somewhere, and a writing style that always leaves me selfishly (and impatiently), wanting the story to continue. Kris Rubi242 13

You just can’t go wrong with a book written by J.C. Wing! I love her books. The characters are so relatable; you would almost swear you knew them.
Once again we are in Whisper Creek with our lovable characters: Theo, Indigo Blue, Jordan, Mamie, Delaney, Patty and Trix. It is rodeo season and the town in full rodeo mode. There is mystery, murder and romance. This whodunit will keep you guessing. Keep guessing because you are probably wrong.
Georgia and her son, Lennon, make an appearance in this book as does Trix. Characters I hope we will see more of in future books in the series. There are so many characters that have stories to tell. That is good for us because I am anxiously awaiting the next book in this series.
Pick it up. You won’t be disappointed!

J.C. Wing just keeps getting better and better. In RUCKUS AT THE RODEO, the 3rd novel in the Whisper Creek Mysteries series, the author brings us back to visit the main characters from her previous books. This story brings us suspense, mystery, and genuine friendships as we explore the Cloud County Rodeo. You will meet several new characters in this book and we learn more and more about relationships, past and present.
