Ghosts of remembrance are the strongest.

The second book in this wonderful series opens in Paris as Alix is deciding what to do with her Ghost boyfriend. Her life has been turned upside down once again and the various forces are all intent on using her for their own good. Unfortunately, none of it seems to be good for Alix or her future. The Templar De Molay wants an audience with the leaders of the ghost world to bring them all together but for what reason? Her boyfriend won’t leaver her alone even though he’s a ghost and the Ghost Police may have n ulterior motive for finding her ghost. It’s enough to drive someone crazy but not Alix who has seen more than anyone the power of the ghosts and their beauty as well. The ending is a shocker so no spoilers but book 3 should be another corker.1 Karenza GrantAuthor 5 books47

I love the usual urban fantasy setup with shifters, vamps and fae, etc. But my favourite stories are those that immerse deeply in a single aspect of the UF world. This is one of those books. Janna Ruth takes ghosts and builds an amazing premise around the concept, explaining why they exist, why only some of the deceased become ghosts, and what challenges ghosts themselves face in their beyond-the-grave existence. Book One of the series, Ghosts of the Catacombs, sets the stage nicely for this, but Book Two, Ghosts of the Crusade, goes so much deeper. Alix is pitted against a fearsome foe in the form of Jaques de Molay, the leader of the Knights Templar, burned at the stake in 1314, but an even greater challenge is her own love life, which is a massive paranormal mess. The setting of Paris and the catacombs continues to be absolutely fascinating, but what kept me on the edge of my seat was not knowing which of the many super characters could be trusted. Ruth twists everything around in the most delicious way, leaving me desperate for more. Perri Corbett21 1 follower

I loved this sequel to Ghosts of the Catacombs. In this second book in the series, we find our poor heroine trying to decide whether she should follow her head or her broken heart. She has more encounters with the somewhat strange agent who works for the mysterious GoPol - I'm getting suspicious about them! And other encounters with the rather scary Chevalier d'Os. She gets caught up once more with the evil Knight Templar, but luckily she has her friends (and ghosts) to come to her rescue. I highly recommend this book to all Urban Fantasy lovers. Hopefully we won't have to wait too long for the next installment! Paula Dawes59

Ghost of the Crusades starts with Alix realizing someone she had been collaborating with is a ghost. It’s not as intuitive as you might think, as she can see, hear and touch ghosts. Janna takes us again into the catacombs (triggering my claustrophobia as she is awesome with her descriptions) but to my relief we do spend time above ground in Paris. Of course Malou is great at calming any situation! There are definitely a few twists and turns (not just in the catacombs) and an ending I didn’t see coming (well not all of it) Cassie111 9

I really this series and author. We go on some crazy adventures!

This book was a bit slow and repetitive in some places as Alix deals with grief. But it also had quite a few twists and turns and did not end as I expected. I love the taste of Paris and learning more about the historical figures. Can’t wait for book 3!! Shandi143
