this was a beautiful story about two people finding one another at difficult times in their lives, and their paths intertwining irrevocably as they become each others anchors, bound by fate.
as to be expected with bennetts books, the hero&heroine both had very difficult upbringings, but bennett deftly incorporates the heavy stuff with lighter moments, delivering a heartwarming, witty & at times emotional read.
nealy was a pushover when it came to her mother, but it was understandable given her past. i admired her grit, hardworking ethos & big heart. carver was wonderful; hes made mistakes, but hes ultimately a gentle soul & a softie for those he loves. and of course, jessie, the cow dog, has my whole heart.
i loved the way nealys great-aunt mimi and her precognition was interwoven into this story; it gave the book a whimsical, magical feel.
NB if you enjoyed this book, then the hook shot by kennedy ryan has a similar feel, but ryans writing is grittier & less sweetly sentimental.slow-burn small-town CAT34
Another wonderful Jamie Bennett story!
You just can not go wrong with a Jamie Bennett bookwritten well, good slow burn romance, interesting and relatable characters and story line that draws you into the world of the books characters. As with her other books, I enjoyed this story, The Right Kind Of Magic, so much and it was fun to see how she fit in the magical part of the story. For an enjoyable read and sweet romance, not to mention a wonderful HEA and epilogue of the story a few years later, I highly recommend this book and indeed, every Jamie Bennett book! loved the story.
A gentle tale of slowly developing friendships trust and healing.
As ever, the characters have trauma backstories, but it's not too intense.
the magical influence of precognition permeates the story line and result is whimsical.

I feel every Jamie Bennett book just gets better. I loved Nealy and Carver but special mentions to all of her side characters who really make her stories extra special. Thank you for another wonderful story, Jamie! The Glassed And The Furious1,020 28
Kind of weird. Kind of nice. That's the feelling I have after reading this. I was annoyed with Nealy quite a lot for being a pushover. I thought Carver was a bit of a tragic anti-hero at times. But it was a nice read for a lazy Saturday afternoon. Brooke22 1 follower
