A great story well told

I enjoyed this story as it was told from the viewpoint of a successful but aging soldier. The main character Gaius was believable and very real in his thoughts. The best part of this story was the three dimensionality of all the characters. I enjoyed this book immensely. I would not hesitate to recommend it to those with an interest in historical military fiction. GREG MAYNES2

Very interesting coverage of the Dacian wars

I d the detailed description of so many aspects of the Roman and Dacian armies as well the true historical context that the author has used so accurately as well as creatively. Richard T Lane4
