The book I will be reviewing is Football Foul Play by Jake Maddox. JAsper is accused of trespassing and property damage when he said he didn’t do it. The principal said that someone broke into the Wellstone Middle School and stole the Supreme Bowl trophy. Jasper is saying that he didn't steal the Supreme bowl. They overhear people talking about his situation and they say that someone saw Jasper breaking in and stealing the trophy. If Jasper isn’t proven innocent he will have to pay damages and be suspended off the football team. Jasper's friends” are saying that he should just admit that he did break in and steal the trophy but Jasper said that if they are his friends they should believe him. They asked what they could do to help prove him innocent. Jasper shows up to practice but can't stay because he didn't know that his suspension started. The team was really struggling without their star quarterback. The kids find out there was a witness and they go to meet him. McAnnany George the witness says he saw Jasper with the hat he always wears and his game jersey on. The witness was very rude to the kids and they found out he doesn't even know what Jasper looks . They go to the office for help. Scott in security helps them because when he went to the school they never won.. Later they find out that the star running back Tye Paulsen framed Jasper so they can win the supreme bowl. They found the trophy in his house. The big game is Jasper's first game back. Jasper's team was stopping the other team and they won the supreme bowl and it was brought back to the Badgers trophy case.





The theme of the book is don't give up on proving your innocence because they never gave up on trying to make sure Jasper wasn't in trouble. I feel when Jasper said “If you guys are my real friends you would believe me” that sparked something and made his friends change their way of thinking about the situation and wanted to help him because they needed him on the football team. It propelled action because it showed that he was actually mad about them not believing him and them actually taking his side. They ended up helping in proving his innocence and he was able to play in the big game to help bring back the Supreme Bowl to the Badgers trophy case.





This book really wasn’t predictable because we didn’t know if Jasper did the crime or if he didn’t. The book wasn't confusing. My favorite part of the book was when they found out that their rival is the one who framed Jasper. I d the ending because it brought everything together and Jasper was in trouble. It was pretty easy to read and I recommend this book to people who sports and a good story

im reading jake maddox "football foul play". i read this book because i football, and jake maddox makes books that are at a level that are easy to read and fun to read. this book is about a team in middle school that hasnt won a championship in years. and theres this kid named kenny, hes really talented he plays wide reicever. but the teams quaterback was framed of a crime which would get him kicked off the team. so now the team has there back up quaterback in for the playoffs.

so now that i told you some details to the story. im going to get into the book a little more. so the quater back that was framed for a crime, his name is jasper. the crime he was framed for was he supposibly broke into another school and took a trophy. so then hes mind is all screwed up and he cant focuse on the football game because of what he was framed for. but they ended up getting there first win in the playoffs. they ended up making the "supreme bowl" and they ended up wining it with a pass to kenny to win the game.

i recommend this book to people that to read books that involve sports. because its a nail bitter, it seems there seasons over because they lost there starting quaterback. but he was still able to play, so thats when it got intresting. this book wasnt confusing at all because to me its easy. it wasnt predictble because its football. nothings predictable. i the ending because they ended up wining the supreme bowl after 10 years. my favortie part was the end because they won the supreme bowl. i think the others way of writing is to entertain because he makes it seem so realistic and you can make a lot of connections to the book. and he tries to entertain by making the starting quaterback get in trouble for something that he didnt do so he couldnt play. i was thinking the season was over when i read about it.
