Sinopsis

She takes a breath, holds it, and then she lets it out, slowly. Breathe. Breathe.

Tegan Nichol Jordi has picked up the broken pieces of her life and put them together before. She doesn’t know if she can survive doing it a second time.

In the Northern Californian town of San Ren, Tegan is barely holding herself together. She’s working two jobs, attending college, dealing with a demanding family, and trying to keep her chaotic mother afloat. All while a group of girls Tegan’s closest friends call the “slut squad” make it a mission to ruin Tegan’s life. In spite of it all, a glimmer of hope shines through — she gets accepted by her dream university, and finally has a chance to move to Washington state; a dream she’s had for as long as she could remember.

But mean girls won’t let up, old traumas resurface, and one terrible, terrible night leaves Tegan’s fragile mind in shatters.

Breathe. Breathe. Inhale, exhale.

Tegan’s lungs are burning, but Tegan is fine. She’s always been fine, and she’s going to keep being fine.

Until the broken pieces fall away again. And she peers into the depths of how not fine she is.
