This book kind of reminds me of - for lack of a better comparison - a heart monitor with a screen that shows evenly spaced peaks and valleys: CRISIS...crisis averted...CRISIS...crisis averted...CRISIS...crisis averted...and so on and so forth throughout the entire story. Unfortunately this translates into repetitiveness to the point of being predictable. The suspense is there, but it never lasts for more than 10 pages. Granted, there is somewhat of a surprise in store at the very end of the book, but even that is treated with nothing more than an "Oh well, the Brotherhood must survive at all cost". I would call it quits here, but I purchased the entire series as a set at the used bookstore. So I guess I'm off to read the 4th and final installment.1 Elif943 151
