If you only read one book this year, read this one! You won't be sorry. Never in my life have I been so at a loss for words. The twists that just keep coming; I never expected them at all!
And the ending blew me away. Make sure you have time because you will want to read it all in one sitting. The characters are so well developed. There's so much going on and idk how the author kept up with it all and kept it together. There's no holes or anything. I wish I could say more about the book but I don't want to ruin anything .

Ash is trying for some research to help with her college and stumbles upon more than she bargains for. There's some shady stuff is going down and how does she know who she can trust? Bayou Venom is the perfect title for this story. As you can tell by the cover, it is a story with snakes featured—I am fiercely afraid of these reptiles. However, interestingly enough, some humans in this story trump the snakes as deadly!

I enjoyed that although there was a bit of romance in this story, it was more about relationships and mystery. The suspense element is the most significant component and is well-plotted and executed.

The characters are varied and interesting; I how they all added vital pieces to the mystery puzzle. Bit by bit pieces slotted in, some not fitting as well as expected, though. Together with these pieces goes a myriad of emotions, especially in the action-packed scenes. Poor Ash and my poor heart, I thought it would jump right out of my chest at one stage.
