Sinopsis

this kickstarted my furry career ngl7 s Hop17

Four books into the series; and it still is a page-turner. I think of it as the kid's version of Game of Thrones. The brutality and deceits become more tolerable when they are set in cats. Despite the many characters there are, I was able to keep track of them all. The author is definitely mixing the right potions. On top of it, this is a shared experience with my son. The stories and characters in the books have helped me explain real life topics, which recently evolve around leaders and countries - not the easiest to explain in plain terms to a 9-yr-old - but when I give politicians cat names it becomes more relatable. 4 s Jenny26

The first series (books #1-6) are absolutely amazing. It keeps you hooked throughout ALL six books. The plot twists, suspense, and big 'reveals' are so interesting and are what make this book so great! I always recommend these books to my friends/family.

However, the second series (books #7-11) was good but not as amazing as the first series. It was a huge change so early on into the whole franchise and the rest of the books weren't as good after. The plot in these six books is super dragged out and it takes forever for any large discoveries to be made, or for you to find out what is actually going to happen in this series.

Despite some books not being as great as others, I have never had a series capture my attention the Warrior Cats did. I do not care how old I am... I will always read the latest book as soon as I can get my hands on them.

Never trust a fox. Looks a dog, behaves a cat.

First published way back in 2003, Into the Wild is part one of what equates to an episodic-esque set of novels by Erin Hunter called Warriors. I was pretty in love with these books as a kid, though as I got older I ended up getting rid of my copies only to purchase and return to the series as I near my 30s. And I have to say, I definitely have a nostalgic love for the orange kittypet turned Warrior. I have a stronger emotional attachment to this series than I ever realized.

Fire Will Save Our Clan

Kittypet Rusty's short life has consisted of a comfy home free of hardship. But it is also free of adventure and purpose. So, when he is presented with the opportunity to join the warrior clan cats of the forest, he takes it. Soon, he is given the name Firepaw and begins his journey to become a warrior. To do so, he must first prove to his new clan he is worthy of the life they have given him. With the help of his new friend, Greypaw, he will brave training, fierce battles, and the shadow of treachery that exists inside ThunderClan.

Soon he learns about the three other clans of the wild; River, Wind, and Shadow. Soon, Firepaw is making decisions that will shape not only his, but also the future of all clan cats. As the name Erin Hunter is a pseudonym for seven different authors throughout the series, Into the Wild was written by Kate Cary.

The World

What's interesting about these books is just how well the system of the world works. You very quickly find yourself understanding the ways of clan life and the systems by which they survive. For a middlegrade novel, this story is a bit more violent that you'd initially expect. Wounds and deaths are fairly commonplace throughout the book.

The overall themes are very mature, though not in a way that is inaccessible to young readers. And this continues to be true for the subsequent sequels. Important to note is that middlegraders who are easily upset by death, especially of animals, may struggle with this read. Looking back, I can say that overarching ideas made an impression on me. In general, though, the finer and darker details were a lot clearer this time around.

The series presents itself somewhat episodically, kind of existing in what presents to me as a season with six episodes. A lot of young reader books are this, generally focusing on smaller plots that eventually lead to a grand finale.

Fire-

Firepaw is a fairly young cat, new to both clan life and the world in general. He has a lot to learn and shows this often with sometimes incredibly brash actions. Even so, he is thoroughly intelligent. It's easy to grow attached to the main characters, particularly Firepaw, Greypaw, and Ravenpaw. Even Bluestar and Lionheart, the clan leaders, evoke an emotional reaction. They sort of exist as caring authority figures, very reminiscent of mentors kids respect.

The focus of the first "episode" of Warriors centers around the evil deeds of one cat in particular, the monstrous Brokenstar. Clan leader for ShadowClan, this cat has dangerous ambitions that put all of the cats in the forest at risk. And while the cats of the forest focus their attention on him, Hunter expertly builds the series plot beneath the surface.

Firepaw's tale is impressively written. His journey is just beginning, with readers lucky to get a brilliant glimpse into his life and legacy. I had a lot of fun reading the books, as a child and even now. I'm certainly glad to have the novels back in my collection.

Honestly, donÂ’t diss it til you try it bruh1 M. Shaw1 review

So here I go these books are not something I would normally read. However my 9 year old daughter had expressed interest in them and as I read to her every night before she goes to sleep I figured why not give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised at how well these books are written and how well the story flows. The authors are able to make you genuinely care for the characters and tear your heart out at certain points throughout the stories. We are currently beginning book #6 of The Prophecy Begins and we both sobbed fools the end of book #5. I look forward to continuing on this journey with Fireheart and cannot recommend these books enough!1 BookEater38 Read

Read all of these, absolutely brilliant!
I love to draw and read them over and over and over, the topic, writing and characters are nailed and the action doesn't stop coming! It does get a bit calm or uninteresting sometimes but its still a great series you should definitely try!1 Juniper Kinsman8

Oh my gosh I can't think of much words to explain how much I love this series.
First of all, Warrior cats is the first series I've ever read, and reading the first book last year literally changed my reading mood set completely! So thank you so much!!1 Natalie Penaloza1 review

These books are awesome i have EVERY single one! Thanks for writing them!1 Elianah32

Pretty good, but some of the books seem to drag out certain things to fill more pages. Books 1-6 were good though. 1 ~MushroomTea~17

WOW! I loved these books so much. While in quality they may not be as good Harry Potter, it is still extremely enjoyable. I think it can be enjoyed by many ages, but it does involve alot of violence, such as death scenes and blood. All cat-lovers will enjoy this series about the rivalries between the cats of the clans, complicated cat romance, and epic quests to save the clans. I love how the wording, really makes it prominent you're reading about a cat. I especially enjoy the little cat-romances that make me giggle, all of the drama and secrets that are revealed; and all of the plot twists, when you find out who someone's real parents are, or that cats are sneaking off in a forbidden relationship, or being mentored about power in their dreams. One of my favourite parts are when the medicine cats treat the cats wounds with herbs: cobwebs to stop the bleeding, watermint for belly-ache, catmint for greencough and marigold for infection. (Wow, I'm getting good at remembering these.) It has taken me a while to get to the point but, this enjoyable, action-packed story of plot twists and dramas, from the perspective of cats, condensed into one amazing book series, that I will continue to read, for as long as I can is a book you must add to your wish list and read right away! Here Erin Hunter, have a cookie!!!
