Wow, wow, wow! I loved this one! It was so heart-wrenching at times that it made me cry, but thankfully, they got their HEA. I've loved Rukia from the beginning, and I'm happy her story was so good.
As for the other part of the story...da*n, that was scary.
I couldn't put this down, and I look forward to reading it again in the future.1 Kathy Jo744 131

Confession. I almost skipped over this one because Rukia and Isaiah kind of rubbed me the wrong way in the other books. While they were both extremely protective over their nations, their actions at times didn't endear me to them all the other characters did.

Y'all. I am happy to admit how very wrong I was about these two! There is a reason why they are the way they are. From the outside looking in, you just don't see it. You have to immerse yourself into all things Rukia and Isaiah to understand them and where they're coming from.

Tragedy brought these two together and tragedy almost tore them apart. But Rukia is stubborn and refused to give up no matter what Isaiah did. I loved watching their relationship grow from enemies into something more. I loved seeing the growth both individually and as a couple. The chemistry between these two was jumping off the charts! All those swoony kisses and sweet moments had me letting out all the little dreamy sighs.

I honestly can't get enough of this series! It dawned on me while reading this book that there is only one book left that's been released and then I'll have to wait for the remaining books to come out. I don't know what I'm going to do with myself. How in the world am I going to top this series?! *sigh* The problems of a Book Dragon.

I am loving this world that Ms. Hawke has created. So many twists and turns. So much heartache and happiness. So much of everything. This series screams with all the feels and I can't wait to dive back in to see just what's going to happen next! chemistry-aplenty elementals enemies-to-lovers ...more1 Suleika Santana -All About Books 676 22

I'm going to start by saying that this one has my fave cover and I still love the world/setting. Unfortunately it was my least favorite in the series. I thought I would love this one because I loved Rukia (our MFC) in the other books but on her own book I wasn't crazy about her. I also d Isaiah in the other books because he was so mysterious that I needed to know more about him. He did end up being super cool in my eyes with his powers/ability but he could have done something to stop what happened to Gideon.
I also would to mention again that these characters have the best and coolest abilities but yet a human (a Citizen which are the villains) can just hurt them super easy which is something that bothers me. I understand the need for a bit of drama but because of Isaiah being there and what he can do with his ability I don't understand how a mere mortal can just get away with anything.
SPOILER AHEAD.........................................................

Isaiah could have just teleported right in front or behind Torrin and taken away his gun or heck, he could have just killed him.

Anyway, after this bit of Gideon drama I had to take a break from the book and my other problem with the story was how the "romance" developed. It wanted to be an enemies to lovers and it was but because of the fated mates it ended up being instalove and to me it didn't quite worked out.
I still recommend this book because once you start the series you will want to know what happens to all the characters. I still think this is a super cool series even if this particular book wasn't my favorite. June McKibben1,230 6

Rukia and Isaih give you a twist on forbidden love. One with a touch that can kill. The chemistry between the two will have you hooked and continue reading. With enemies to fight you won't be able to put down. Loved1 Melinda95 20
