Their mother, a Baron's daughter within the English aristocracy, grew up roaming the vast and beautiful estate of Harrington Hall. After the events of that fateful evening, Elizabeth Grace all but disappears from their lives, and the sisters are left to discover why their mother never returned home to Toronto, Canada.

When Sophie and Olivia receive the opportunity to return to England years later, a series of disturbing buried secrets and scandals surrounding the characters of Harrington Hall begin to emerge. With elder sister Sophie taking the lead, they set out to reconnect with their estranged English family, and finally find answers to their looming questions: What happened to Elizabeth Grace? And what other ghosts does...

Reseñas Varias sobre este libro

After finishing this book, it's been on my mind non-stop- what a family saga!. It captures the complexities and dynamics we all recognize to some degree in our own families. At first,I was unsure of the narrator’s voice as the story is told from a child's perspective. The voice didn't always seem to match the age, but it quickly became clear that this child's experiences were far beyond what most kids deal with, and that added a unique depth to the narrative. It also made me care deeply about this little girl and kept me engaged to learn her story and hope it would resolve well for her.

The book tackles love, loss, the pains and yearnings we carry-especially as a child growing up trying to make sense of the world. It’s also about the impacts of wealth, and most importantly, the journey to forgiveness. It blends mystery and fantasy, painting a vivid picture of the family's world in a way that's both enchanting ( loved all the parties and fashion scenes!) and incredibly detailed.
The author brings out the emotional layers of the family's story, making this book more than just a good read—it encourages us to think about our own relationships and the concept of forgiveness and its impact on families.

So, why should you read this book? It offers a rich, engaging story that's both entertaining and thought-provoking, challenging readers to see beyond the surface of family life and consider the deeper connections that bind us. It's a book that stays with you. Highly recommend! Alison Bowen1 review
