Sinopsis

An alpha always puts his pack first.

Alpha Silas Flynn wants revenge. Since the day Alex Bloodright murdered his parents, Silas has made it his mission to bring the rogue werewolf to justice. After months of hunting his nemesis, he’s closer than ever to neutralizing Alex for good. But when he’s unexpectedly assigned a new partner, Meredith, his wolf takes an unusual interest in her. Now is not the time for the goddess to grant him a fated mate.

Fox shifter Meredith has her own reasons for wanting revenge on Alex. Her werewolf father’s pack was slaughtered by him. But convincing Silas to let her help while dodging the feelings she has for him leaves her struggling to keep her eye on the target.

As the two close in on Alex, it becomes apparent that someone on the inside is helping him. Stopping the rogue will force Silas to question everything, including his ability to be the alpha fate has demanded him to be and exactly how far he’s willing to go for the woman he loves.

Fantastic ending to the series

I loved, loved this ending to the trilogy. The continuation of this captivating story was well written and included good world building, witty dialogue, three dimensional characters who grow, and an engaging storyline. Silas and Meredith’s fated mates romantic suspense story had the perfect mix of sweet, steamy, danger, mystery, and real life issues with just the right amount of feelings. The romance and suspense were perfectly balanced and were both important vehicles for moving the story along. The slow ratcheting up of the suspense while the MCs are trying to figure out what’s going on and trying to catch the elusive bad guy is delicious perfection. This story picks up where the last book left off. Silas is a wolf shifter, the alpha of his pack, the First Alpha of the Lycanthropic Society, and a police detective. He is uber responsible and controlling. Two years ago an unhinged and homicidal wolf shifter, Alex, with the help of his dragon fae girlfriend, Nikolena, murdered his parents. He is determined to hunt down Alex and kill him. Meredith is a fox shifter and Silas’s new detective partner in the police department. Meredith’s father was also killed by Alex and she is just as eager to find him and kill him. Silas is not happy to have a partner at first but the more time they spend together, the harder it is to ignore their chemistry and deep connection. Of course the twists and turns of the story will keep you guessing as the storyline builds to its conclusion. It was so hard to put this one down. By the last word, all the ends were tied up and all the HEAs were realized. I am sad to leave these characters behind.

This book is the final part of a trilogy. Do yourself a favor and start with book one to understand and appreciate the full story arc. There is back story from the first two books that is not fully included in this book and as a result, the book will not make sense without it. 1 Elisa3,170 34

Silas and Meredith.

What and exciting 3rd book, seriously wow with just enough twists and turns to keep me gripping my iPad as I turned the pages.
Silas the alpha and a police detective and all round protector still needs to get his man, the man who killed his parents and has been torturing his siblings needs to be ended.
His boss hired a new partner for him… No way does Silas need or want a partner, this will be a total disaster…

Meredith is from a wolf shifter dad and a skinwalker mom and she shifts into a fox when she wants to, Meredith is also a damn good detective and not going to take crap from the overbearing alpha she has been partnered with, she wants to bring Alex down just as much as Silas for her own reasons.

This story had just enough of everything to make it highly entertaining.1 T.M. CromerAuthor 56 books557

This was the perfect conclusion to the Fireborn Trilogy. There were some twists I never saw coming. Well done, GJ! It takes a lot to surprise me. Love that she pulled in the support characters from the earlier Knight World series. It gave the story depth and allowed readers to revisit some of their favorited characters. I can't wait for whatever GJ comes up with next! I would definitely recommend this book—as well as everything else Genevieve Jack has written—to anyone looking for a great read. It's a wonderful escape from real life for a few hours. 1 Jennifer G2,542 49

"I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book. All opinions expressed are my own."

I love the Fireborn Wolves series and Vengeance is my favorite yet. This is Silas's book. He's the Alpha, a detective. He's so protective of his family and pack, so caught up with finally catching Alex to eliminate the danger to those he cares about that he has lost sight of everything else. He no longer has a personal life. His only focus is stopping Alex. Then he is assigned a partner, Detective Meredith Turner. He's against the idea because he doesn't trust anyone but himself on the job. Meredith has her own reasons to want Alex brought to justice though and she's determined to be Silas's equal. He and his wolf are attracted to Meredith, and although he doesn't want the distraction, Silas realizes her claim to be in on this case is as legitimate as his own, so they partner up.

Meredith is perfect for Silas. She's beautiful, smart, strong; his match in every way. It's not long before they both give in to the attraction. Just as Silas is finally letting his guard down and admitting how much Meredith means to him, Alex's final plan becomes more of a threat. The entire world may be destroyed if he succeeds. And Meredith appears to be actually helping him. Silas no longer knows who to trust; old lovers or new ones. The only things he's sure of are his family, the moon cycles, and himself.

This is a fantastic final book to the war with Alex and dark supernaturals. Grateful is back with a surprise, Laina and Kyle, Jason and Selene, Logan and Polina, all play important roles. And we even get key appearances from Julius, Soleil ( still not a fan) , Nickelova, and Ryker. Alex's plan is much larger than anyone expected and it's not clear who will make it out alive in this final attempt to stop him. This is a well written, fast paced read. The suspense quickly draws you in and keeps you reading until the very end. 1 Rachel Thompson31 18

As all books from Genevieve I give this 5 Stars!! This book brought all my favorite characters together in one epic battle. I love the supernatural story lines but she can bring romance and comedy in to the action. I love how it is all brought together.

Fire born is once again threatened by Alex and his evil manipulations to gain power. This time everyone has to pull together to help the pack beat him once and for all. Even our favorite Hecate Grateful Knight has to help :-). (If you haven't already, you need to read the knight games!!)1 Bianca78135

I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

In the finale to Genevieve Jack’s Fireborn Wolves trilogy, maniacal villain Alex Bloodright remains an elusive foe to the Fireborn wolves. The Flynn siblings, pack ruling royalty, have a particular score to settle and seek to ensnare the rouge wolf, however, he’s always one step ahead of the good guys. Vengeance is Silas’s story. The dark , brooding pack alpha and Carlton City detective, has been a fixture throughout Jack’s Knight World books. Known in part as the love interest of Soleil, celestial fae and brothel owner, Silas emerges in this installment as one seeking vengeance and new romance.
Vengeance follows a similar arc as the previous two books in the trilogy. This time, however, Alex’s machinations are much more diabolical and will have dire consequences if not stopped. I have a feeling this may continue in future Knight World books. This book has a strong thriller-type element. The plot twists and turns constantly and the action is riveting. Jack has created an unforgettable world of paranormal creatures whose lives are intertwined with mythological elements. Fans of the Knight Games series will enjoy the substantial part Grateful plays in this installment.
Call me crazy/hopeful, but there are a couple characters I’d to see in future Jack novels namely vampire Julius and incubus Ryker. I how Jack has created peripheral characters with magnetic charisma that have definitely piqued my interest.
Overall, Fireborn Wolves is a solid trilogy. Within the series there’s something for everyone; mystery, romance, and action. All three books were quick, engaging reads for me. As always, I’ve come to rely on Genevieve Jack as a perennially effective storyteller.

Absolutely amazing!

I loved this final book in the Wolves of Fireborn Pack series. I had read book 1 but somehow missed when book 2 came out, so I hurriedly read it before starting Forever Mated. This book is about the oldest brother, Silas, and Meredith. Silas, being the alpha of the pack after his parents were killed, has struggled to not overdo it and ask for help. So, his boss at the police station takes some of it out of his hands by adding another paranormal detective as his partner. Silas does not want Meredith helping him at all… but she is not phased by him and does what is needed so they can take down Alex finally.

They work together to track down where Alex is hiding out and why it seems that a dragon is attacking his family. He and Meredith have to work quick to figure out what they need to do before literal Hell breaks loose.

This was such a wonderful ending to this series! Definitely worth the read!

I received a free copy of this book via the author and am voluntarily leaving a review. Karen1,424 2

Silas

This KU library selection brings the overarching storyline of the trilogy to a conclusion. Silas Flynn became alpha of the Fireborn Pack and First Alpha of the Lycanthropic Society when his parents were killed. Alex, the werewolf behind the attack, aligned with a Dragon fae princess in their quest to realign the world order and seize power. Silas has hunted Alex, but the murderer has remained at large, proving to be elusive and extremely powerful. But the chase comes to an end with this book and Silas is faced with losing everyone and everything he loves if he fails to bring Alex down. Helen Callahan166 2

Vengeance book 3 and the final book of the Fireborn series/trilogy. It is not a standalone, reading books 1 and 2 is a must BUT so worth it. Genevieve Jack does a superb job of weaving in characters from her other books. Both Fireborn Wolves and A Knight World series are must reads. From begining to end, this book/series is filled with twists, turns, suspense, action and of course Genevieve Jack romance. I received this book as an ARC for an honest review. Honestly, Vengeance and all other Genevieve Jack books are must reads !!! Reya Reychelle1,161 6

::Spoilers::

Stupid and the entire plot was unnecessary & nonsensical. I don’t understand what the point of the detour into suspectIng Meredith was even for. , what was the point??? Cuz they forgot about all those coincidences awfully fast when they could legitimately blame it on momma.
Plus, I don’t buy into a romance when the mc literally just got out of a relationship with a woman he wanted to marry and after a week with new chick decided he was over the former love of his life.

Did NOT !

Bummed it's over!

I really loved this series as I do all of Genevieve's Books. I am bummed it's over. When you read a really good story/series the characters become a part of you
You grow attached to them and love hearing about what they're doing next. Now that this is over im sad because theres nothing left. I actually went back and re read them all because I missed it so much! I highly recommend this series and all of her books
Hey Colleen65

Are the right pieces

The characters were real and relatable. The females were both softhearted and strong spirited. The men were imperfect and flawef and it was okay because men need to to grow and the right woman to support that.

This book wrapped up an entire series leaving closure with an open HEA. No cliffhanger, just the possibilities of a life well spent. Enelyae Is Reading25 2

I’ll admit that Silas was not my favourite in the other books but I definitely warmed up to him in this one. This is my favourite story of all of them! Great book, great story and great finish to the whole series. There were even a few curve balls I didn’t expect! Had some banter, had some spice, overall good series. Natalie4,450 13

Vengeance: A Knight World Novel (Fireborn Wolves Book 3)

I almost lost my nerve thinking that Meredith was a traitor and how Soliel died. I love that she was reborn though that was cool. I really enjoyed this series. Sam521 3

Absolutely brilliant

A smashing end to this trilogy. Some old faces and some new but the twist was perfectly executed. I really really enjoyed it and can't wait to read the dragon series when that comes out Joann23

Excellent book!

I just love this author's work. They are everything you could ask for out of an urban fantasy book. Nancy13

Revenge is sweet and the ultimate vengeance is sweeter.

Silas, a law enforcement agent and Fireborn Wolf pack alpha, has a fugitive to catch. Alex killed his parents so apprehending him is foremost on his mind. Meredith is new to the precinct and has been partnered with Silas. Meredith’s father was murdered by Alex so she has the same motivation to get justice. Silas doesn’t want a partner thinking he could get the job done alone. Boy was he wrong.

A Vampire mysteriously commits suicide to avoid being captured and Silas’ ex-girlfriend gets killed, there’s a kidnapping, and it’s all tied to Alex. I love a good paranormal/detective/romance story. You should read books 1 and 2 to get the back story though.

Loved it! Can't wait for the next installment in the world of Knight. Howard Lowery61 1 follower

I guess this is the last of the series and there isn’t a lot to say that hasn’t been said about books 1 and 2… well, not exactly. First, a word of caution: You absolutely need to have read the first two books to know where this one is going. It would also be a good idea to have read the author’s earlier works because there are relationships in Vengeneance that tie back to earlier books. That isn’t as necessary as reading Vice and Virtue but it is a good idea.

Now about the book, as much as I’m willing to tell: Yes, there is yet another fulfilled romance that does, and doesn’t, go the way you expect. There is a little more action here than I remember in the first two though that could be more of a memory problem than anything else. But the biggest, most important thing – This is another Genevieve Jack book and it rocks! That means the writing is excellent, the story is great, and the characters are well filled. Bottom line? And if you’ve read books 1 and 2, it is a must read! Buy it, read it, enjoy it!

Vengeance: A Knight World Novel a fantastic conclusion in The Fireborn Wolves Books. Just a heads up, you should read Vice and Virtue prior to Vengeance. Though each story is about each one of Flynn's ( Laina, Jason and now Silas), there is a continuous evil in all three Alex Bloodright, who killed their parents and continues to harm their lives and the lives of their pack. Detective Silas Flynn is determined, now more than ever to capture Alex, when he is presented with a partner, Detective Meredith Turner, who has a personal reason to capture Alex too. With characters from The Knight Game series helping out, this is one fantastic read I could not put down. I love how Genevieve writes, it's never a dull moment, with surprises everywhere. Not only do I recommend this series, I also recommend her Knight Game Series. If you enjoy the paranormal with romance, these are the series for you. Kimmie1,269 10
