It is a short story which is just a beginning as the title says. The story is about Nick who lost his parents and then decided to take revenge of their death. How much he and his cousin succeed, we come to know in the story. The story was good and easy going. It was more of an introduction of Nick and Tommy. I enjoyed reading it. 1 John1,187 5

As someone who has become a fan of the Nick Bracco series, this was a quick look back at what motivates Nick (and to an extent, Tommy). The story could have used more detail in places, but all in all, it painted a pretty good picture.
One line from the book really got me: A fathers success can only be judged by the behavior of his children. As the father of a 16-year old boy, I can see how I have succeeded. Will DeckerAuthor 22 books10
Having read about the characters in this story before, I kinda knew what was going on. Ponzo has an easy reading style of writing. The characters come to life on the pages, and you just know something is going to happen. Unfortunately, nothing really dramatic happens in this short story except the introduction of characters and how they chose their separate roads in life. Dave95
Ends a bit quickly butt an interesting start-up novella.
Not sure I would pay for this as it is too short, but an enjoyable pre-cursor to a series.
