Flight 12 to Rome: A Nick Bracco Novella — Gary Ponzo (11 chapters) Nov. 14, 2019

This is a quick read that may have some background that I am unaware of. I enjoyed the fast pace adventure and the story line was on point.

Great character her interactions. If I wanted to keep reading this series, I definitely would (and I may!) <— It was just that good!

Nick is a FBI officer who is on a plane trying to diffuse a situation that could be catastrophic for the world. His time is limited and it seems he is losing at every turn.

The ending is the beginning.

There are some typo and grammatical errors in this, but nothing too bad.

Flight 12 to Rome: A Nick Bracco Novella by Gary Ponzo Flight 12 to Rome: A Nick Bracco Novella by Gary Ponzo is a five-star story. It's action-packed and filled with suspense.

FBI agent Nick Braco sat against the window looking for the terrorist aboard Flight 12. Things are not what they seem. The plan was hijacked and balance of power between the FBI agent and the terrorists kept switching.

I received a complimentary copy from Amazon. That did not change my opinion for this review.

Needed more from a Flight 12 finale

The story is a great read by itself, and a great lead into a future Nick Bracco series...but I read this as part of the Flight 12 series. I expected more mention of the other passengers/characters from the earlier stories in the series. I felt there were so many loose ends that weren't wrapped up. Perhaps that was intentional, so the other authors could fill in the gaps and draw the reader in, but I was anticipating more here...even a brief acknowledgement. Will DeckerAuthor 22 books10

This one is strictly unbelievable, but still somewhat enjoyable. A good quick read with characters that stay true to form, even if you don't know their backstories. The science is bunk and F-16 fighter jets with that kind of range would really be a boon to the US Air Force. But if you look past all that and more, you'll find a good short story with a lot of tension and excitement for the YA genre. Dr. Simone J. Simone172 5

EXCELLENT!

I don't EVER read short stories because they aren't long enough to be filling. Reading a short story is similar to eating a stalk of celery when you had access to a feast. However, this story turned out to be a literary feast of people in a horrifically difficult situation. The quirks made it even more intriguing. Strongly recommend this book for a quick but satisfying read. Evelyn Grabas490 7

What a fantastic read. kept you on the edge of your seat every minute. And the ending - sheer genius - and quite unexpected. I can generally pick up a lot when reading mysteries, but this one stumped me and I loved that it did. All the facts/clues were before you, but I, for one (and don't think many others) picked up on it.
Hopefully there will be more from Mr. Ponzo, because he really knows how to write a mystery. Ferne Miller260 1 follower

Terror in the sky

The story takes place in a few hours. Liftoff to Rome. Shortly into the flight the plot unfolds, home born terrorists, a device of mass destruction and an FBI agent, a reporter and an Air Marshall on board. Really good story, acion, twists and a somewhat predictable ending. This is the novella to start the series. I will be reading more Eileen O'neill16

Flight 12 to Rome

Enjoyed this book but ended to quick for me. Felt it should go on , but good twist at the end . Will definitely read some more of the series. A good book to take on holiday, easy reading and neat characters. Katja2,543 35

Apparently this novella is a part of a series but I haven't read the rest of the books. There are terrorists on the plane and then Nick Bracco saves everyone. There was nothing particular that was wrong with the book but it was not a keeper.random-freebie R.Ethiraj30 3

A sure winner

Keep the logic far. A fast faced thriller. No twists or turns . A straight arrow to the mark.
I have completed during my flight from Chennai to Delhi looking inconcipicuesly around the flight as if one of the goons would turn up!.
Don't miss this crispy fiction

Very much, my kind of story

I loved the characters and believability regarding a secreted bomb but the story treads on a modern movie, which it should be! I will look for more from Mr Ponzo in the future! Victoria51 1 follower

I love that this was a great suspenseful mystery clean enough that I could read it to my mother without blushing over profanity or inappropriate content. An all around great suspenseful read. Charlene Davis1,093 1 follower

Interesting

A great twist on terrorists. I'd to read more Bracco books. For short story it was full of action. Guy644

Good story, well told

Have no fear, the good guys won. More importantly the bad guys lost in spades. It’s a quick read, it’ll be interesting to see how the series unfolds. Barbara J Maich117 2

Interesting

The book has a good storyline and was a quick read. I was expecting it to improve a bit more from a thriller perspective but didn't. Still a good read.

Flight to Rome

Love this

I enjoy reading books that are short. Didn't know how it was going to end. The whole book kept you wanting more. Opal Sibley278

Very light read

This was a very short book and had some mystery. I was disappointed with the weak writing. But it was entertaining. Georgia131 Read

Short action packed tale!

Good action adventure. Quick read that was satisfying at the end, when the good guys collect their dues. Highly recommended. Nancy1,196

It was a quick read. Thank goodness. Not that exciting, not much tension. Dave132

Interesting story with a fantastic (but unfulfilling, haha) ending. Makes me want to think twice about flying to Europe. I really enjoy Gary’s writing; 3 books down, with another in the queue. Thom Swennes1,822 56

Special Agent Nick Bracco, of the FBI boards a Skyway Flight 12 from New York’s JFK Airport to Rome. He’s not heading to the ancient city for a religious sabbatical or even a vacation in the Tuscany sun; he is a man on a mission. Someone is threatening the world order with a small antimatter bomb and he has reason to suspect that the terrorist is one or more of the 327passengers on this flight.
A mission Nick may have but a plan he doesn’t. Requesting the services of Jess Kimball, a well-known journalist working for Taboo Magazine, they screen the passengers as they fly across the Atlantic to Europe. The antimatter device could be hidden anywhere which makes his efforts firmly in the realm of impossibilities.

I’m a BIG boy and can swallow lots of things but I had the utmost difficulty in swallowing this story. My incredulity started on the first page and the skepticism never left me. If this is a true example of how American taxpayer dollars are spent (squandered) then I completely understand why Donald Trump refuses to pay any federal income tax. In this day and age, new security agencies are springing up mushrooms and neglect or refuse to share information; making it a pissing game, with no regard for the immanent and inherent dangers we are facing. You are a firsthand witness, the pinnacle of ineptitude, combined with the apex of inefficiency. Truth and common sense are sacrificed for a storyline, transforming a thriller into a farce. If this is a true to life scenario, we’re in deep, deep trouble!
FAA international guidelines require only two pilots of any flight shorter than twelve hours. The flight time from New York to Rome is eight hours and fifteen minutes; no airline would assign an extra pilot (much less two) to this flight.
Let’s look on the bright side of this book. It was short so my discomfort was short-lived. I wouldn’t be adverse in reading other works by this author and pray that this was an unfortunate fluke.

Ok, I want to clear that I've read this book twice: the first time was two weeks ago because I was curious, the second time to write this review.

And I have to say that this books get me trapped in the edge of my bed.

I loved this story because of its dynamism, the suspense and the surprising ending, and because it reminded so much of some of my favourite action movies "True Lies" and "Tomb Raider" (yes, I know that it has nothing to do with the terrorism and kidnapping theme, but the main character somehow reminded me of Lara Croft...). Everything in just 11 chapters.

I hope to read more from this author in a future :) David Dalton2,578

I got this simply because it is a Nick Bracco story. It was just okay, nothing the "A Touch of . . ." thrillers that got all us readers hooked on Gary's writing. There was a flash of it in the story, but just a little. Still, it was free and I now plan to go on and check out some of Gary's work on other titles : A Touch of Tequila: A Nick Bracco/Jack Daniels Thriller. intense isolated-location suspense ...more Rocco Varra7 1 follower

Fast read. Very short suspenseful story. HAppy ending. Anyone liking espionage and government involve ment will enjoy this story.

Although the story is short it has a few twists and turns to keep you interested and on your toes. Robbie2,676
