This series is very readable, aa good Calgon take me away book. Some parts were unbelievable such as the birth of the baby. Also, the book could not have been edited. There were so many grammatical errors.1 Donna B Browne6

Barbara war The Middle Years

The ongoing story of Wartime England and some families who endured those times, good or bad. I enjoyed reading the book. Allison BuckAuthor 1 book

Good story, but multiple typos, grammatical errors on every single page! All the typos really disrupt the flow of the story. J.J. JOHNSTONE158

I enjoyed the story, but found it a bit slow. Barbara also spent too much time agonizing over the father of the baby. Just move on.historical-fiction Barbara Chandler123 1 follower

A quick read

I d and disd this book at the same time. I was often annoyed at Barbara! I can't really describe why though.
I was very glad to be reading this on my kindle, many words and phrases I had not heard before and I was able to just long hold and look them up.
At last the war started, it was a running theme throughout both books, "when the bloody war starts." I don't want anything to happen to the core characters. Even tough I am annoyed with them I care about their safety.
TO THE AUTHOR, if she sees this...why didn't we find out what Mr. Williams was up to, why his arrest and what was he hiding in the stable and attic?
I do recommend it, this Barbara has enjoyed the book. I will order the next in minutes. Jackie White303 2
