I loved the way this book makes you look out on the world and question so many things such as what it means to you to be a daughter, wife/partner, mother, and woman in today's world. I'll definitely be revisiting this book in the future.6 s Maddy7 1 follower

I finished this three weeks ago and have not stopped thinking about it. It's rare that I give out five star , but there was no doubt in my mind when it came to this book that that's what it would get.

This is an incredibly moving book about what it means to be a daughter, a wife, a woman in the modern world, about what it means when your identity comes into question and how to find strength in yourself even on those wrought and rainy days. The structure is genius and reads a charm, and I found myself moved to tears with a lump in my throat for the final sequence. I genuinely cannot wait to read this again.

I feel SO lucky to have read this ahead of its publication and cannot stress enough that you need to put this on your TBR, and put Eva Asprakis on your radar. She is a force to be reckoned with.6 s Laura509 30

This book turned out to not be what I thought it was - the theme of adoption was really more about identity and nationality and the importance of the main character Androulla’s citizenship.

I enjoyed the plot and found that the author highlights some really major issues such as being diagnosed with PCOS and eating disorders, although the latter isn’t really dealt with in any way. I d the writing style but did feel I could have done with more background info to fully empathise with the immigration situation.

I was definitely kept interested throughout and enjoyed the book. I will treasure my bracelet too! Thank you so much to @literallypr and @eva.asprakis for the copy to review.

38 Days of Rain follows our complex and flawed main character, Androulla, who's embarking on married life when she finds out the devastating news that she's infertile.

This book explores so many emotions as Androulla struggles with her identity, eating disorders and the complexities of marriage.

It's a book that makes you question how you would handle the situations explored in the story and it will certainly resonate with us, the readers, on quite a deep level.

It's an honest read, it's delicate and heartbreaking.

It's an absolutely beautiful story.
