Holy cow, this is a very dark romance, lots of possible triggers for people. This story is not for the faint of heart

Silas has a darker side to him and Angel has submissive side to her,,, plus add in the fact that Silas will do anything in his power for her
Now, the story line is great but keep in mind, a good % of this book is straight kink

This is the epitome of dark romance, with depraved Men and a Women determined to make changes to this Secret society ….. But at the same time believe it or not they do good for the world
I am not a huge fan of men degrading women,
But who am I to judge is the females in this particular series seemed to enjoy it….. to each its own……. Erin Trejo threw in the most intense smut while maintaining a fantastic plot.

As soon as I received the ARC for this book, I couldn’t put it down. This is some amazing writing by Erin. It’s very dark and disturbing read. So be aware if you don’t that kind of story.

Your wife or Queen is picked for you by the leaders of the group. Irregardless if it’s what you want or not. This is the way they’ve been brought up and you have to accept it. Silas and his friends don’t play by the rules and do their own thing . He’s wanted Angel all his life and he intends to have and keep her no matter what he has to do. He’ll even kill for her. But, there’s a secret that Angel’s been keeping from him. Along the way people close to them are exposed for who they really are and betrayals are there as well. There are lots of ups and downs and a lot of heartache. But some good too. This book was an up all night till the wee hours of the morning read to find out if they get their HEA. Be prepared for some tears and cheers along the way.

Oh my gosh... what a twist to finish this two part series... Silas and Angel have such a connection in the king and queen society.. it is truly deep... the depths of what he does to keep her are nail bitting.. also, her back sorry is a tissue grabber. I feel if you loved Oath.. you will not be disappointed in this book at all, but I am not one to spoil for other. I think Erin was deep in her writing raw at times, hard core in chapters, which made for a fantastic, page turner, hard to put down book.. if I could give more than a 5, I would... All I can say is wow! Silas is dark and gritty and loves Angel with a passion only most people can ever hope to be so lucky to find. Erin did such a good job writing their story. In Silas and Angel's world you don't know exactly who you end up with, but Silas fights for Angel with all that he is and in the end gets her. This book is dark and gritty with some laughter and tears, but in the end love prevailed all they went threw. What a dark and deliciously twisted ending this tale. All of the main characters are extremely interesting and definitely twisted. Angel and Silas are the two main characters and they are so meant for each other with their nesses. He’s dark, raw and dirty. She just craves what he can give her. WOW!! I just don’t know what to say, this book is so dark and gritty, emotional book. It does have some triggers but it is also a page turner.
With Angels past you would think she would run from Silas as he is not a nice man. Silas is so in love with Angel that he does everything he can to keep her. This couple works so well together that they beat the odds of the King and Queen society.2 s Salima159 4

Wow. This book was so so good. I just love Silas and Angel. After reading The Oath I was so excited to read The Aftermath. This book is dark and twisted. You get all your feels in this book. Lots of twist and turns. But that ending was just wow.

Oh my goodness. I just thought that The Oath was a fantastic book, until I read The Aftermath. All I can say is wow. I read this book in just a couple of hours because I just couldn't put it down. I’m still in a state of shock writing this review. I knew Silas and Angel had a connection from reading THE OATH, but that didn’t prepare me for everything that happens in this book.

I am an absolute freaking mess right now. That ending was BEYOND PERFECT!! I knew this was going to be a dark, tough, read especially with how book one, The Oath, was but my god I was definitely NOT expecting all this. I’m going to need some time to recover lol. This proves once again that, in my opinion, Erin is hands down the queen of dark and twisted books. I can’t wait to see what’s next.
