This is the second book in the series, and my third book by this author. I received an ARC and I am posting my honest review.

The characters are fun and relatable, and I that there are different love stories developing. The writing is getting better too. Without giving away any spoilers, I would have d the resolution a bit more detailed, it felt a bit rushed.

A series about a passionate shoemaker/amateur sleuth is quite original and I will keep on reading the next books in this series. Debby Stephan54

This was a really fun cozy mystery. Veronica, a shoemaker who makes me want to try on her shoes, and her friends hold a murder mystery dinner for a group of interesting middle aged ladies. A woman gets murdered at this dinner. The police ask for Veronica's help solving this murder. Her brother and her new boyfriend are also police. Perhaps because she isn't police and is also not a man, the suspects talk with her. It's a really interesting read, full of fun and colorful characters. The ending was totally unexpected. Roni and her friends at the Last Resort are hosting a Murder Mystery evening event, when one of the guests winds up murdered. Since it was a closed event, only the people in the room could have been the killer. This is a great mystery that had me changing my mind many time as to who the killer was. Julie Burnett294 5
