Sinopsis

PRODIGAL
One moment can change the path of your life. It’s a lesson I learned 12 years ago when I lost the woman that I thought I would spend the rest of my life with. We had plans and it felt like the road stretched out in front of us was paved with possibility.
I left New Orleans to find myself, to drown my pain, and figure out how to function after my dreams crashed and burned. When my head was on straight, I returned—the prodigal son ready to earn my patch and be part of the brotherhood I grew up in, the one my father still presides over. Now I’m Vice President and life is good.
When someone from the past breezes into my life, she blows it up. I thought my wounds were healed, but Wrenley has me questioning everything. She was just a kid back then, but she’s a grown woman now. One I want in the worst way. I can’t go there because our pasts are too entwined, and she needs my help. The devil on my shoulder tries to tell me I can just have a taste, but if I give in then she’ll be mine and I’ll never let her go. One moment can change the path of your life and maybe that’s when you find your future.
WRENLEY
Sometimes life gives you more than you can handle, and you feel the walls closing in on you. I wasn’t prepared to lose my sister. It wasn’t just her, either. It felt like I lost my parents when she died as they wallowed in their grief. Then there was him. He was there one day and then gone the next.
Life was hard, but I found a way to survive. I picked up the pieces, forged ahead, and now I’m in a good place, one I’m proud of, but I have a problem. I’ve caught the eye of a dangerous man and I want nothing to do with him. The only people I know who might be able to help are the Devil’s Saints MC. I’m seeking sanctuary and the last person I expect to see is him.
Reid Whelan left all those years ago and I have no idea when he came back. Everyone calls him Prodigal and that isn’t the only change—he’s not the same boy he was when he was in love with my sister. I hid my crush back then, but now what is between us can’t be denied. We’ve changed, but our past hasn’t. Sometimes life gives you more than you can handle, and I can only hope we come out of this stronger together.

**18+  If you like alpha heroes and an insta-love story that is sweet and spicy but isn’t necessarily simple, then this is for you.  No cheating with a guaranteed HEA. This is the first book in the Devil’s Saints Motorcycle Club: New Orleans Series. The DSMC: NO is first mentioned in Flowers and Moonlight. The Seattle Chapter will get books as well and there will be crossover. The DSMC is not a one percenter club, but these guys don’t always operate within the law either. This series will be darker as the club has ties to the Guidice Crime Family. Don’t be surprised if there is OW (other women) drama within the series either.**

Reseñas Varias sobre este libro

Ember Davis is one of my fav writers, she says that this series is darker and different from everything she’s done and it’s true but apart from that I don’t recognize her in the book.
H was in love with heroine’s sister years ago and she died, it’s bad but heroine was a girl then and I don’t find the plot so ewww . what I don’t understand is how they talk more about a club bunny H has fuck… than the fact he was going to claim heroine’s sister…
The author tries so much to write darker that the only way is to throw bunnies all around the book but his former girlfriend didn’t almost appear…
The book wasn’t for me but maybe the rest of the series will do, there’s a few potential interesting stories there! This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.Show full review4 s Doris2,826 113

A Real Page Turner

This book kept me up until 3am because I just couldn’t put it down. I HAD to know what would come next. Prodigal had finally come home after six years on the road after the woman he loved was killed in a home invasion. He has to prove himself to not only the President of Devil’s Saints MC, who happened to be his father, but to the rest of his brothers as well. Another six years has passed and Prodigal is now the VP but still hasn’t come to terms with his loss…that is until a familiar looking woman comes to his club looking for help.

Wrenley and her friend had made a huge mistake by walking into a biker bar which was run by the opposing MC and she caught the attention of a stalker who just happens to be the President of the club. She turned to the only place she could…to the Devil’s Saints MC which had felt family years ago.

This was a fast-paced insta love with plenty of suspense, steam and drama.

Wow! This is not a simple romance, it is laced with past pain of lost, danger, jealousy, stalking and a family you choose instead of blood.

It's been twelve years since the death of the love of his life, Reid never expected to find anyone to start his heart again, until someone from his past walked into the club.

Wrenley lost her family the day her sister was killed. Now the one person she could trust unknowingly walked her into a bar that turned her world upside down. When the danger became too much Wrenley looked for help from those from the past.

Great read with a lot of tension - sexually, jealously, danger and suspense mixed with giving into the truth that pulls you into Wrenly and Reid's story. My heart broken at their pain and sored at the love they both found.

Can't wait to read the next tale.

He spent 6 years on the road running from the pain of his woman dying in front of him. Prodigal has now been home for 6 years. He earned his patch, is overprotective of his "baby" sister (she had her own book in another series), and has only partially healed from his trauma. Wren's parents got lost in their grief over losing Jessica and didn't see to her needs. She also hasn't healed from her trauma. She doesn't want to love anyone and have them ripped away with her sister. The Alloy Riot bar is where Wren's best friend drags her, but it's crowded with Riding Rebel MC members. Their prez decides to try to make Wren his. He begins stalking her. Her last and only hope is to get help from DSMC. Now, Prodigal has to figure out how to protect her, prevent war, AND keep his hands off Wrenley. Not all those are possible, though. Not everyone will live through this, either.

*Club angels in this book are the same as club candy or club w hore in other books. *

As soon as Wren and Brandi met, my thoughts on Brandi being an issue were solidified. She got what was coming to her if you're of the bloodthirsty variety. That's all I'm saying. Maureen1,370 25

Ember Davis really had done herself proud. She has written a very good book with the MC club and i hope she writes more because i really am a fan of MC books.
Suspence, drama and action and not forgetting insta love. Two souls reconnect, they have both lost one years ago they loved and then nature tooks its course with them both doing different things to get over it.

Prodical loved Jessica with all his heart, but then she was taken away from him in a home robbery gone wrong. He spent the last six years on his bike riding away the pain, till he came home, back to his MC and prospected and now hes president. But all that changes when Wrenley walks in the door.

Wrenley is on her own, has been since her sister died, her parents forgot she was around so she was forced to grow up quick. But now she is in trouble, her and her best friend went out for drinks and it seems that she attracted the attention of the president of a motor cycle club, she dosnt want. Now she is getting parcels and notes and she is scared, so the only thing to do is find help from the only place she knows ..the Devils Saints.

This book really is a great read, i just loved the characters and im looking forward to meeting more of the men and their partners to come.

MMC/FMC- Prodigal and Wrenley
POV- 1st person dual
Genre- MC Romance
—1%? N but morally grey
Heat- they do the thing, name the parts, and throw in the P word and the C words

Cliffhanger? N
HEA/HFN? Y
Triggers- Dark themes including violence, language, and explicit erotic content.
Tropes- Lost Love, Family Ties, Late Girlfriend’s Sister, Former Crush, Damsel in Distress, Stalker, Fatted Calf.
What I d- this book was a great mix between plot and romance, with plenty of steam. The characters were likable and distinctive. I d the atmosphere of the club, and the setting was interesting. Plus, it felt fresh. And there wasn’t a kidnapping!
What I didn’t- nothing really.
Verdict- this book was entertaining, and it had that Je Ne Sais Quoi that makes a book special.

Prodigal drove off and became a nomad for six years to try and get himself straightened out after a personal trauma. He’s now returned home and must prove himself as a prospect for his father’s MC. Wrenley was in the wrong place at the wrong time and now has a stalker and knows there’s only one place she can ask for help. From the moment Prodigal sees Wrenley again he feels something inside him shift. He fights the feelings he has for her but soon she’s under his skin and he’s claiming her as his. This was an engaging steamy read that had me at the edge of my seat. Wrenley and Prodigal had a history and were able to overcome their it. Wrenley is finally able to get her family that she’s always wanted. Can’t wait to read more and see the others find their HEAs. I received an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Ember Davis’s ‘Devil’s Return’ has all the feels: loss, familial love, sexual attraction, and heart wrenching loneliness. Wrenley has her best friend, her work, and a hole in her heart. Reid has his MC brothers, his family, and his memories of a lost love. Their first encounter shocks them both: awareness, connection, and a sense of belonging.

Danger, jealousy, and anger threaten their relationship and her newfound family. Ember does such a great job writing awesome characters with the best supporting characters and cool settings. Reid and Wrenley’s dialogue is heartwarming and turns into scorching as it evolves. The love they share is intense and the epilogues are beautiful!.

Another amazing book by Ember Davis!
If you’re looking for an emotional page turner, this book is for you. This book has it all, danger, suspense, action, all the emotions you could want.
Reid lost the love of his life years ago in-home invasion and after that he left. He couldn’t stay and miss her so much. Years later he returns to the MC that is his home.
Wrenley, the sister of the woman he loved finds herself being stalked by a rival MC. She goes to the one place that she knew could keep her safe.
Reid didn’t expect to feel so much when Wrenley walked in but he knew he could stop at nothing to protect her and keep her safe!
I absolutely love this story! I can’t wait to see what is next for the MC!!!!

Devil's Return begins with an emotional punch as Reid grieves the loss of the love of his life. He spends the next few years trying to outrun his memories and is just existing until he decides it's finally time to return home. He takes his rightful place within the club as VP and thinks he will never get close to a woman again until Wrenley seeks refuge. As she has attracted a stalker from another club, she thinks the Devil's Saints would be the only ones to help her. I d how upon first meeting each other after so many years, there is hesitancy between them both because of the past, but the author didn't let it drag on unnecessarily. As the stalker escalates, there is plenty of drama and suspense to keep the story engaging. Kurtins R793 4

I loved Devil's Return Devil's Saints Motorcycle Club: New Orleans Chapter. Ember Davis is amazing. Reid had tragedy at a young age and it led him down a difficult path but today he needs to put the past behind him to help Wrenley, she has a stalker and needs protection. This book has a bit of everything: action, suspense, pain and love. It’s a great storyline and I loved the characters. It’s about overcoming the past to take hold of your figure. He’s an alpha male and he will do anything to protect what’s his now. I would definitely recommend this book and I can’t wait for more in the series.

If your looking for a page turner this book is for you. There is plenty of suspense, danger, action and plenty of heat. Reid and Wrenley go way back, but it's because of her sister who was with Reid in their teenage years, but she was killed in a home invasion. Their lives were forever changed. But when Wrenley draws the interest of a rival club president, things get hairy. Excellent read with a HEA. But I want to read a story about Sioux and Apostle. A tempest that grows in strength

Prodigal is already fighting his demons and the ghosts of his past, add in Anarchy and it is the battle of a lifetime. But it is a battle he will give his life for because Wrenley is the only one who can pull him from the darkness of his past to claim his future. It's a dark, dangerous and twisted path but they face it together and it helps begin stitching their hearts and souls back together, Wrenley is his and he will burn the world down to claim her. I love this first book in the Devil's Saints MC series which I read on Kindle Unlimited. SaDonna Campbell538 2

The book started off really slow for me. It took several chapters for me to get really committed. Reid went through a very devastating loss at the age of 18 and ran from his demons for 12 years. Unfortunately, Wrenley catches the eye of a psychopathy and runs to the only place she knows can help her. There is some trouble from the club girls. There is a lot of detail that regarding the characters and their baggage/demons. And, interaction with other Chapter members. And, it does have an HEA.

This book was amazing there are equal parts steam to action. The foreshadowing of the next book is great and will keep me waiting for it as well it’s sure to be just as delicious as this book. The characters were written so well you can imagine them right there with you and the world building was spectacular. One of the last scenes full of steam and romance really was the best I’ve ever read with what happened between Reid and Wrenly. No spoilers, but so worth the read!!.

This is the first book I’ve read by Ember Davis and I have to say it is off the hook. The writing is phenomenal, the story is so heartfelt, and the characters are the bomb!
So many emotions are the two main characters deal with and the insight, back ground and all their experiences are captured so well. I found I had tears rolling down my cheek in a few places. This books grabs onto you and you cannot put it down.

An exciting start to a new MC series!

What an exciting start to a new series! Book one of the Devil’s Saints Motorcycle Club: New Orleans Chapter series starts off fast and furious. Reid and Wrenley has a history and when their world collides the past comes alive. The storyline is so intense with suspense, danger and a romance that they didn’t see coming. I enjoyed how the characters relationship blossomed to so much more, but will they be able to find their HEA? One click to find out in this new release that doesn’t disappoint. I can’t wait for more! Prodigal/Reid and Wrenley's journey of love is an emotional one. They both lost someone they both loved Wrenley's sister and soon afterwards they both left New Orleans. Now they are both back and when their story takes a turn neither of them expected. This story is an emotional read and I was cheering these two on to get their happily ever after. The writing is well done, the characters are believable, and the ending is perfect. Devil's Return is book one in the Devil's Saints MC: New Orleans Chapter and I can't wait to read the rest of the series. When Reid was a young prospect for his father's MC, he lost the love of his life. He leaves for many years when he returns, and he refuses to find love until Wrenly walks into his life. She is being stalked by rival MC, and there is nothing he won't do to keep and protect her. First, I have to say how much I love Wrenley’s name!!! This story was emotional. Their grief is gut wrenching. Their love story is beautiful. Reid and Wrenley have always had a connection. When they are reunited, that connection is deep, beautiful and strong - once they fight their way through their pasts and old heartaches. So excited for more from the Devils Saints MC! ??.

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. Reid and Wrenley do not have an easy love story. There is so much loss, grief, worry, suspense and tension that swirls around them. These two have a connection, strong chemistry and passion but it struggles past the roadblocks. I d the characters. Both he and Wrenley found their balance. I enjoyed the MC aspect and look forward to more of the Devil's Saints Tinna Edna281

A great start to the Devil's Saints MC, New Orleans Chapter series. After feeling lost after the loss of his love, Reid rejoins the MC and is now the VP. Wrenley is being stalked by the president of a rival MC and she also happens to be the sister of Reid's lost love. Scared, she believes that he can keep her safe, so she goes to him. There is drama, danger, action, unexpected twists and turns and a good love story added to the mix. Mahaba28

J'ai adoréeee , I mean come on Wrenley & Reid they deserve the world even if I was mad Ried's behavior, but I let it slide heheh.
I loved who Ried's family played were there for Wrenley, I loved how it showed that love is not easy we need to work hard for it and especially not letting the past win
we can't let our past ruin our present and let's fear our future.

And I CAN'T WAIT FOR SIOUX AND APOSTLE STORY YEEEEEEEEEY Holly3,333 4
