I absolutely adored Kiss a Ginger Day! Cute, quirky, funny, and a fast read, we’ve got a plot where a corporate investigator comes in to discover why a tech company is failing despite excellent products. The investigator, our MMC, has an insta-attraction to our FMC the Friday before he’s supposed to begin working at Edison Tech. The two begin a potentially illicit relationship, hiding it from coworkers, and numerous hilarious antics ensue.
I laughed out loud, chortled under my breath, and giggled late at night. This book hit all of my rom-com plot loves! It’s well written, simply funny (as numerously noted), and the characters are adorable. I fell in love with our MMC just as the FMC did. When he lunged his torso forward in bed, waggling his male member at her, I absolutely lost it with my chuckles.

That was just so ridiculously adorable. I loved Theo’s random spouting of world celebration days. It was just such an unexpected little quirk for him to have. I loved Alice’s drive and ambition, but her dithering and conclusion-jumping drove me a little batty. I suspect a lot of that’s my own baggage and not actually related to the character, at all. The push-me/pull-you dynamic between them was a bit crazy-making for me, but it kept me glued to the pages in order to find out what would happen next. I would have loved to have seen greater consequences for the office villain, but they were caught and punished which satisfied my need for justice. Now, I’m hoping that this will turn into a new series for the author, because there are several of the secondary characters I desperately want to know more about.

This story will make you laugh out loud. Theo is a hot Welshman in DC for work. Alice is single in DC and wondering what she has done to deserve what is happening to her. Theo is chock full of the most useless facts that will leave readers shaking their heads with a smile on their face. Their one night stand becomes the start of a hilarious romp through the pages. Why is the new consultant at Alice's office the gorgeous ginger Welshman with whom she had a flirtatious kiss on (the made-up) Kiss a Ginger Day? And why can't she stop meeting him in the supply closet at the office even though a workplace thing is hardly going to help her attain the promotion to CFO she's angling for?



Theodore's been working for The Twins, Suzy and Samuel O'Flannery, long enough that he's grown a bit complacent. Then beautiful Alice stumbles into his professional and personal lives and he's wondering if the two can blend or if he'll have to eventually choose. If he has to choose, Alice might tip the scales in her favor.

Back when I first read this as a newsletter serial, I remember thinking that I'd love it even more if it were ever released as a full length novel. Now that I've gotten my wish, I have to say that it's even better this way, with the continuity adding to this already funny, warm, and delicious story. Though Theodore totally made-up all his holidays, Kiss A Ginger Day was a genius one on his part, because it got him Alice, adorable, sassy Alice that he couldn't help but fall head over heels for. I cannot remember the last time I loved a workplace rom-com more than Alice and her ginger's.
