I read the other books in this series last year, so was delighted to find a new book had been released, this one though links to the next one, which has also been released.

We return to the Suffolk coast and Aldeburgh, Southwold and Walberswick. Aldeburgh, where most of the books are set and Shingle Cove. Where people seem to gravitate to when they need help, advice and support.

In this book, Lexi is an heiress who has chosen to make her own way, she lives and works in New York but her family home is in Connecticut. She was born in England, loved with her family (Mum, Dad and younger sister Andrea) til after her Dad died and her Mum moved them back to USA when Lexi was 6.

At 26, she's a publishing assistant in New York in a small salary with an allowance from her Grandparents, her Mum died 6 months before. She lives with her boyfriend who is an aspiring rock star. In the course of a day she loves her job, boyfriend and goes back to Connecticut. However, a call from the family law firm with an oversight from her Mums estate, leads her back to England, and a trip which provokes many memories.

It's an engrossing book which had me hooked from the 1st chapter and I'm so glad the next book had been released so I could read it immediately.

Although each book focuses on a different person, they are linked, so they're best read in order of publication to preserve continuity of the characters and series.

A great series which I really recommend if you intrigue, beautiful scenery and family secrets waiting to be told. Julie Foster535 1 follower

Really enjoyable read

I really enjoyed reading this book Lexi starts a new life in England but her American grandparents try to control her with money. Lexi
Had broken away from them, her mother wants her to hand a letter over to an author in England. Hopefully in the next book Lex I will find out the mystery and truth about why her American grandparents forbid her to travel to England. Elva Cartwright457 5

The Houseboat by the Quay (The Sunrise Coast series Book 5)

This story keeps you guessing and I will have to read the next book to get the answer. I will certainly be downloading it straight after leaving this rating. I recommend to spend a lovely few hours enjoying a good book and then onto No 6 Karan Chandler9

Need to know more
