ONE NIGHT WITH THE ARMY DOC by Traci Douglass is a medical contemporary romance which thoroughly entertains and leaves you with that HEA glow. It is easy to read with a hunky hero and a socially awkward, but brilliant heroine. Being set in Alaska also gives the story a unique background flavor.

Dr. Molly Flynn is a brilliant diagnostician with her own medical TV show. Her latest episode is based on a case in Alaska. She is excited to get away from the high expectations of her family and the recent breakup of her relationship by text. While Molly may have a brilliant mind, her social skills are not as well developed. For her show the camera is always following, but the patient’s best friend is the head of the ER and refuses any on-camera time. There is an instant friction between the two doctors, but as they work together that friction starts to lead to understanding and attraction.

Dr. Jacob Ryder is the head of the ER, an ex-army doctor decorated for valor and extremely media shy. He was burned by an ex, who left him for a high profile media job, so he throws himself into his work. Molly is brilliant, but he does not see eye to eye on some of her choices for treatment. As they work together, Jake begins to see the real Molly and begins to and respect her uniqueness and quirks.

Both know their time together is limited. As their feelings grow, can Molly believe that Jake really sees and s the real person inside? Can Jake trust another woman who is in the media spotlight and not get burned?

Molly and Jake are an H/h duo that will go straight to your heart. They have survived so much and managed to thrive separately, but you know they would be great together. The romance is wrapped around a medical mystery that is easily understood and very intriguing. The scenery and attractions described by the author in Alaska, add to the story without taking over. The romance grows at a realistic, but time limited pace and the sexual interactions were hot. I found this to be a romance that you will want to read in one sitting, because you will not want to put it down. I loved Molly and Jake and I know you will, too.

This might be my first Harlequin Medical category read, and I also believe this is the first time Traci Douglass has written for this line. I enjoyed this one! I thought the medical drama was woven in well with the romance – we get a hero and a heroine with really nice chemistry too.

Molly Flynn is a very skilled young doctor. Graduating high school at the age of thirteen, she has gone on to be a skilled doctor who travels all over taking on medical cases that cannot be solved. Just the TV show House, except she is nice and has much better social skills. Speaking of television, she is also a tv star. She has her own medical reality show called, Diagnosis Critical. Her production crew films her every move as she tries to figure out what is wrong with each of her patients. This go around, her network has her travel to Anchorage, Alaska, to try to help a hockey star who has many odd symptoms which is keeping him in the hospital. It’s here she meets our hero, Jake.

Jake is former military, and having served over in the middle east, not much phases him. But seeing his best buddy Bobby, who also served with him, lying in bed sick, he is starting to get worried and trying not to show it. When Molly arrives with her tv crew, Jake is not happy. He had media attention in the past, after arriving home from war, that didn’t turn out well for him. He refuses to sign the release, so they can’t film him, which frustrates Molly- as both Jake and her are working on Bobby’s case. They both have an immediate attraction to the other, but Molly is coming off a break-up and Jake is worried for his friend, so their romance is a slow-burn. Nice sexual tension though and I that it didn’t feel rushed.

Molly has major father issues, and I how they are dealt with in this one. She is has a nice confidence and can stand up to Jake when his over-protectiveness of Bobby inhibits her medical care. I d Jake a lot too – his past with the military is well done and both him and Molly felt real doctors (I hate it when a character is slapped with a profession but it doesn’t seem realistic).

I would to read more by this author!

With her family Dr. Molly Quinn has never felt good enough. So, travelling the world and filming the latest episode of her TV show is the perfect way to avoid feeling she’s falling short of their expectations, especially that of her father. However, when she clashes with Dr. Jacob Ryder – a man that loves his privacy and wants nothing to do with being filmed for her show – she finds she may have met her match, especially when he has just as much invested in her patient’s care as she does. Will Jacob be able to work his way past Molly’s high walls to show her that he’s the one for her or will the pair walk away from their shot at happy ever after? This is a debut medical for MS Douglass and what a fabulous debut, this one hit the spot from page one, firstly for me the location I love stories set in Alaska, then the hero and heroine what beautiful people both strong and courageous and both with hurdles to cross before they can find that special bliss in true love, this one definitely left me in a happy place.

Dr Molly Flynn is a very special diagnostician with her own TV show, she travels a lot doing her best with her genius mind to save people, she has big issues with her surgeon father and doing the show is her way of proving to him and herself that she is good enough. When she arrives in Alaska to treat a very ill patient she crosses horns with his Doctor and best friend Dr Jake Ryder ex- army who has firm opinions on how his patient should be treated, but oh boy is there a pull that ignites Molly no one has before.

Jake Ryder is running the trauma department at Mercy Hospital Anchorage and does it well, he keeps to himself and does not any sort of publicity he had enough of that when he was honourably discharged from the army and received an award and then his fiancé walked out on him, so when Dr Molly Flynn and her TV show arrive to help his best friend who is gravely ill the sparks fly but in more ways than one.

I fell in love with Jake what a hero and Molly she is just beautiful inside and out and the way she has been treated because of her quirky ways by her father especially, but Jake could see through this instantly and he was there for her, it doesn’t take long before the tension and worry about the patient turns into flirtation and then a night together has them falling head over heels for each other, and when the penny drops and they realize how well they fit together and that love will shine through this couple begin a very HEA, sigh worthy story, one that I highly recommend woohoo MS Douglass awesome story.

One Night with the Army Doc by Traci Douglass is a Medical Romance that I had trouble putting down. Actually, I read it in one sitting. If your a fan of medical dramas Gray's Anatomy or ER, you will LOVE this book.

In this book we meet Dr. Jacoby Ryder who is a strongly compassionate physician but who has been hurt so many times that he is very private and guards his emotions just as much as his privacy. Introduce Dr. Molly Flynn, who is everything that Dr. Ryder isn't. She is an extremely talented physician, but can use some serious help in the people skills department.

Dr. Flynn is brought in on a case to help Dr. Ryder save his best friend. These two had to put their differences aside to solve the mystery illness plaguing Jacoby's best friend.

This medical romance has everything your looking for in a good romance including mystery and intrigue. Traci Douglass has crafted such well developed characters, I was definitely rooting for them and thinking about them long after the book was over. 4 s The_Book_Queen1,546 279

? Former Army medic now Dr. in Alaska

? She’s a doc as well, has a TV show

? Slow burn, BTW, with one one sex scene and it's not overly explicit, though it's still decently hot ;)

Molly suffers from a giant case of “Never good enough” and ow, I felt her pain ? See, her father is a Big Time Doctor with one hell of a fucking ego and no matter what she does she never meets his expectations. He was a dick and I wanted to kick him. But I loved that she stood up to him/her family in the end and decided to stop trying to make them happy and just focus on making herself happy instead.

Oh, also: When she's really nervous, she'll start spouting random facts, which was kinda fun and cute.

They meet when she goes to Alaska to diagnose a patient -- Jake's friend and former Army buddy, Bobby. Much of the book is spent trying to figure out what's wrong with him before whatever it is kills him.

All in all, this was an easy read, a simple story that was done well. I enjoyed it! Would definitely read more from Douglassarc-copy category-romance contemporary ...more3 s Teri3,918 37

She's awkward and lacks that gene that makes her cozy and comfortable around people. She's brilliant but can't keep her mouth from sprouting random facts when she's cornered or just lost for words, but that doesn't stop him from wanting her. You can't tell from his actions because he's been burnt and burnt badly. When sparks of anger turn to sparks of passion will lies and omissions kill their chance at an hea or turn their loneliness into a penguins mate for life.

Great story with lots of laugh out loud moments and one night that can lead to forever. Love the characters and the story. This author brings it together with a bang. 3 s C.J. BurrightAuthor 14 books254

If you’re looking for a medical romance featuring a hot, former military, emotionally wounded doctor and a quirky reality show doc who sets her relationship barriers high, all set in the backwoods of Alaska…read One Night with the Army Doc because you’ve just struck gold. Jake is nursing some guilt from his time in the military and holding onto the pain of a failed engagement when he gets saddled with reality show doctor Molly, and let’s just say they don’t start out on the right moose track. Jake is suspicious of Molly, especially since her show is covering his patient and friend with strange symptoms no one can diagnose. Molly is a medical genius who wears awesome T-shirts and has her own past to deal with, and she doesn’t appreciate being questioned by Jake, no matter how he makes her heart pound. Stuck working together, the sparks fly, and with all stories written by Traci, expect lots of humor, steamy times, and some significant personal roadblocks to break through before Jake and Molly find their happily ever after. I loved watching Jake and Molly working through their pain (and their medical dilemma) to find love with each other. Highly recommended!3 s Lynn Brooks3,184 39

With her first jaunt into the Harlequin Medical Romance line, Traci Douglass brings us a riveting read. It's fast paced, has an air of intrigue to it and is full of family drama and simmering attraction! I really enjoyed the connection between Molly and Jacob as they raced against time to try to save his friend. He didn't want to her, but she was more than he was expecting. Very entertaining!

Dr. Molly Flynn's specialty is diagnosing the most troublesome ailments that to hide in plain sight. Her reality TV show travels the world looking for just the right cases to spotlight as she is put to the test to save patient after patient, and the her latest case has brought her to gorgeous Alaska. The countryside is just the break she needs from the daunting stress of real life and family expectations.

Former Army doctor and current surgeon Jacob Ryder hates the spotlight and when he finds out that Molly and her intrusive cameras are coming to spotlight his friend's case, he refuses to be a part of it. Watching the beautiful diagnostician work though is quite intriguing, and before long, he just might be changing some of his thoughts about her.
