This book was a good read. It is the 2nd book of the Billionaire Sinners series. I had not read the 1st, Surprise Baby for the Mafia Boss, and wish I had. In retrospect, I had a lot of questions about the FMC, Grazia's brothers as they played a critical role in the second book.

This book centers around Grazia, an Italian mafia princess whose best friend is marrying her older brother Luca. Grazia feels betrayed and as the book opens at their wedding, she gets very drunk. As she spots Marcus, our MMC, she gives into her attraction for this Mexican cartel boss and her families rival. Grazia attempts to seduce him gives Marcus the opportunity to kidnap her and head to Mexico.

The book is told in dual points of view from Grazia and Marco. Marco leverages his abduction of Grazia to gain money and favorable trade routes. We learn that Marco wants to leave his cousin's cartel empire and make something for himself. He wants to create a legacy. Grazia is torn between duty to her family and her growing attraction to Marco. This began in the first book when Marco was ordered to entertain Grazia while his cousin works out a deal with her brothers. Both have lots in common and are mutually attracted to the other.

While the dual points of view were effective in learning about our main characters thoughts and feelings, it hurt this story because we have no idea what is going through her brothers' mind. Are they angry with Grazia by making herself vulnerable or are they furious and worried about her safety. By not having any guidance as to their thoughts, we only see brothers who are at best concerned with her safety above all else. They come across cold and unfeeling. I feel certain that learning more about her family and the brothers in particular would be accomplished by reading the first book.

I really connected with Grazia and the push/pull she feels about her duty and her attraction/love for Marco. She is left alone missing her family but fearing they may think she came with Marco willingly. This especially because of her obvious anger with her brother Luca and his new bride. The author does a good job letting us feel her loneliness and angst regarding the situation.

Marco was not as easy for me to connect with as I felt he came across as less layered than Grazia. His motivations and purpose are immediately established. His growth mainly comes from an increased empathy with Grazia's situation and the abandonment she feels when the first exchange goes horribly wrong. It's not that he is one dimensional but more that his actions are clear and certain.

I would recommend this book but strongly urge the reader to check out the first book before moving to this one. By not, I felt I was staring a Netflix series halfway through.

Two things matter in my captor’s twisted world of crime…Power and money. He stole me to gain both. I’m the Italian Mafia princess who caught the eye of the enemy. He’s the Mexican cartel underboss who has everything to prove.??

Being kidnapped is nothing but business.?My brothers are going to hunt this ruthless animal down. That’s what I should be rooting for …. I should hate Marco Rodriguez. But when the corded muscles of his tattooed arms pull me in, I feel safer than I ever have.??

He watches me through the security cameras 24/7. I find power in giving him something to look at. My entire life has been controlled by others. But under his command and sheets, I’m discovering a new strength.??I’m becoming this man's undoing. Despite being trapped, at his mercy, and stolen from my family …. I might never want to leave.

This is the second book in “Billionaire Sinners Series” and a thoroughly enjoyable read. Grazia, an Italian Mafia Princess, is kidnapped at her brother’s wedding by Marco, a Mexican Cartel underboss. The book captured my attention from the start and I could not put it down.

The physical attraction and the connection on a personal level happened before the wedding. The two connect on a personal level due to similarities of their upbringing and families. Then he kidnaps her for business purposes! The lines begin to blur with the physical attraction between them and emotionally they begin to connect. What will happen? Will her family agree to the terms? Will they actually be able to walk away from each other?

You cannot fall in love Grazia and Marco
