I live this author and was happy to find this stand alone book on the Internet. It was a good story, but the body count was way over the top to make it a four star rating. Joan Leicht284
The main character was likable, but the story got way too complicated. Disappointing. crime Karen18

Tim Ferris, former child star on the long running television series The Big Happy Family, claims he knows who committed the Bagley Bunch murders, and has written to a Pulitizer Prize winning reporter. The real story behind the murders, he claims, will affect the upcoming presidential election. But the reporter is aging and in poor health, and he sends his former student, investigative reporter and blogger Hunt Liebling, in his stead. But when Hunt shows up at Tim Ferris estate, he is kidnapped and threatenedmaking him more determined than ever to pursue the story. And then more people start dying.
The plot combines the underhanded dealings of politics and the seamy world of Hollywood at its worst. Handler grabs the readers and brings them along on an adrenaline-fueled adventure.

Years ago, the Bagleys were America's most cherished sitcom family. Then the actors in the cast were murdered, one by one. Now Gary Dixon, one of the few survivors, is running for the presidency. Hunt Liebling, journalist and blogger, flies to California to see the other surviving Bagley, a dying, burnt-out case who wants to reveal the truth. Little does Hunt know that the forces that are covering up the truth behind the murders are willing to do anything--repeat, anything--to ensure Dixon's election. This fast-paced stand-alone thriller will probably be more attractive for those who enjoy blood and gore.mystery-california mystery-iowa mystery-new-york-city ...more Leslie Angel1,418 7
One of my favorite mystery writers. Love his series about the black cop and the Jewish film writer. This may be a stand-alone, a thriller about murders of Brady-bunch type actors and attempt by money + right-wing religious nuts to gain presidency. Ginny Tata-PhillipsAuthor 11 books12
