Captain Aaron Decosta, a starship commander, embarks on a clandestine mission to bring relief to a planet at war. For that, he must deliver a very irrate and aggressive, know it all, to the planet in question where diplomatic measures are to be applied. This must be done stealthly and following a preconcieved plan that the passenger doesn't know about.
But, she persists in criticizing his decisions and threatening him with all sorts of wacky threats.
Upon arrival in the viscinity, the vessel is caught up in a war and attacked on all fronts and must make a choice if he is to survive with his crew.

Back on Earth's galactic frontier, Colonel Michael Decosta receives the harrowing news of his son's disappearance by a close friend and superior, prompting him to embark on a perilous journey to the Bone Yard, the last place his son was seen at. His crew are all loyal to Aaron and don't trust the new colonel upto the time when he reveals that Aaron is his son

Again, this author uses his gift to take the reader on a virtual adventure where treachery, savageness, lawlessness and lack of regard for human life are the norm for the father on one side and where helping the vulnarable as well as trying civility has no place and the price to pay is murder for the son on the other side. I personally foind the book riveting, a page turner and look forward to read the sequel while I rate this book 5 stars and highly reclommend it. Manie311 2

I actually was intrigued by the title, Firestorm, expecting it to be referring to some kind of military clash. Instead it referred to a very interesting group of five planets and the mysterious force that seems to be interacting between these planets.
And it is here that a space anomaly deposited Aaron Decosta on a desert planet with some very weird aliens.
Space anomalies are exactly that...anomalies. seldom understood and often as dangerous as can be.
Yet this is exactly Michael Decosta, father of Aaron, would venture into for the sake of rescuing his son.
But space anomalies are by far too unpredictable sometimes. As Michael soon discovers when he crashed on a planet as well, but in the midst of what appears to be a war.
So, Firestorm somehow also seems to also confirm my original idea of the title. Just too bad for Michael.
The first book in the series the book ended far too quickly and abruptly for my satisfaction and curiosity.
Oh well, that is one way of ensuring the next in line to be published will het snapped up quickly.

I’m not a big fan of serialized books, but I did enjoy FIRESTORM BEYOND THE VOID. It’s an old fashioned science fiction tale of out of control spaceships, honorable soldiers, and crazy, exciting battles with villainous aliens.
