3.5 stars. This was a really good MYSTERY. Again, not so much of a "thriller" for me. BUT the plot was good, there was definitely a twist AFTER what I though was supposed to be the twist, however, I did not the ending of this book. It was very much a "yay we save the day, happily ever after, the end." I would have d to have a little bit of book left.
I think again, Freida McFadden has just made thrillers other than hers more difficult for me to read..2 s ThrillChaser2

I really d this book. Honestly the journey was the best part. This mystery had so many unanswered questions in the middle that kept me on the edge of my seat. I do wish it ended slightly different. Maybe something that kept me wondering. Also, would’ve love to have a little more details about how the case wrapped up instead of just jumping to the happy ending. All that being said I give it a 4 but would recommend it to friends because the journey is that much worth it. Looking forward to reading book 21 Julia Rodriguez70 1 follower

I wish more time was spent at the orphanage for the investigation. I kind of saw the plot reveal coming but was still surprised. I didn’t the modern references such as driving a Tesla, reading The Inheritance Games, and sugar free Red Bull. The writing about Hazel being Korean felt forced and choppy. It was a quick read. 4.3/5.0. This is my first book by this author. It was an interesting private detective story with able characters. The story was a little slow at times and no mind blowing twists, but I enjoyed it and Miller's style of writing. Chris744

Initially I thought I was really going to this however the last third of the book was over the top far fetched. I did really the main character.thriller Beverly A19

Was a little boring in the beginning, but it picked up the last 3/4 of the book. Angie Dee24

It was a little slow in the beginning but I stuck with it. Ended up being a great story. Many twists and turns so you didn’t know who the bad guys were. Worth the read. Michelle29

Loved this story and the way the author wrote the character of Hazel Cho. Can’t wait for the second book in the series to come out! Maria Eisenberg67
