At top short

The first 4 books had many different lives going on all the while our hero and friends were coming into there own. The point here is it took our hero 4 books..... Okay SPOILER ALERT SPOILERS ALERT.

Why did it take a book that I read in five hours to have said hero suddenly do an about face and chuck everything and I mean everything only to at the end of book five suddenly be higher then his last chosen direction. Why after four books he suddenly now goes out of his way to get revenge on a kid who father ordered the killings..... This book was way also had many words LIke THis.
I am really frustrated too because when you really a series you kinda don't mind a little wait for the next book.

I really hope Daman takes this next book to a higher level.
Good luck with the next book. I would take some time with it and help your readers to get a look into the lives of the other characters.

make better decisions

I’ve really d this series, at least up until the end of the fourth book and the beginning of this fifth book. I’ve come to the conclusion that Calron is an idiot, and literally just listens to whomever, without thinking things through. I’m so confused at some of the decisions that he’s made, especially with him getting older. One would assume that with more people around him, giving him good advice, he would make better decisions. Nope, he just up and leaves, or listens to someone who he doesn’t know tell him things and he just believes it. Whiteout checking with someone or even confiding in a friend. It doesn’t make sense to me, and I don’t think I can finish this. I might come back and finish this book at some point in time but I’m just disappointed. Kristof81 3

Well, that took a turn...

After years of surviving (despite making dumb decisions) and growing and cultivating, suddenly he loses it all and goes down a new path.
While this comes across as annoying most of the time, it finally makes sense in the final chapter.

As the previous book ended with clueing us in that Calron is only half of the primordial's soul, with the divine element being the other half.
Now, with the addition of this entirely new (to the series) cultivation path, it becomes clear that his end goal will be the merging of the paths. Which sums up the entire 5th book. Derek Raxter10

Absolute Genius!!!

This new take on cultivation is extremely unique and sound. Daman did an amazing job pulling me into this new shift. Reading several cultivation novels throughout the years, I would most certainly put this up there with Will Wights Cradle. The creativity and the development of characters is amazing. Bill1 review

Most excellent

I have been reading this series for awhile and it does not disappoint in any of the books to include the cliff hangers at the end of each book. Love it. Can't wait for the next book in the series. cyrene60

I'm a little conflicted

For someone who didn't want to abandon his family in the middle of a war, Calron adapts real quickly. It does feel he is becoming a babysitter in each book, though, as all his little stowaways are little kids. Mary Ratanaruka8

Excellent Book

This series of books kept me on my toes and wanting more! Can't wait for the next book, finished this series within a week which shows just how much I loved this collection of books. I will definitely purchase the next book in the series when it comes out! Zack Turner834 4
