Battle for the Amazon de Craig Martelle

de Craig Martelle - Género: English
libro gratis Battle for the Amazon

Sinopsis

Martelle’s writing has been compared to the works of Andre Norton, David Gemmell, and Larry Niven. Join the fun as a Cat and his human minions fight for peace. For readers from 13 to 65, find compelling characters engaged in an adventure of search, conflict, and discovery.

The fragile trade route is expanding, until the attacks come.

Trade grinds to a halt. People cower in fear, before they run for their lives.

The first Lizard Men were called the Overlords, and they have declared war on humanity. Braden, Micah, and the Hillcat are the only ones with the ability to act, so they take the responsibility.

They gather the companions for a journey into the rainforest to confront the Overlords, but the ancient Lizard Men are deep within the Amazon, protected by a seemingly endless number of dark minions.

I honestly didn't expect it, but these books just keep getting better.

In this book four of the series, Braden, Micah, and all of their friends, have a fight on their hands. There are Lizard Overlords riling up some of the Lizards, not to accept humanity as equals, and so they declare war - both on the humans, and the Lizards that have become good friends with both humans, and their variety of companions.

This book was a mix of SciFi, fantasy, and a touch of western there, too, and I thoroughly enjoyed both the plot, and all of the characters, especially the intelligent animals! Aurochs! Who'd a thunk it? Lol

Having been an avid reader of Anne McCaffrey for most of my life, I've always loved the idea of sentient beings, of every type, but when it involves animals of any kind, then I'm in reading heaven!

I love that it takes the combined might of all of them, working together as equals, to get the job of war, and then peace, done, and each one of the characters has an important place within the group of friends and allies.

My favourite, though, has got to be G-War! It's known throughout the world that cats used to be worshipped as God's - which, of course, they've never forgotten - and G-War is the perfect example of this!

Craig Martelle is a new author to me, and I'm so very glad that I came across his work, because it's very entertaining, informative and, at times, laugh out loud funny. I now hope crazy that everything else by this author is as good as the Free Trader series is, because I couldn't help myself by buying as much of it as I can afford right now!

I'm now going on to book five of the series: Free the North!books-i-own Ami1,854 10

This, book four in The Free Trader series, is an excellent adventure in a world that seems very real to me. I can see all of the characters, and what an amazing and varied group they are! I think this is the best in the series so far but be kind to yourself and begin with book 1. You would not want to miss a minute of this glorious romp. I highly recommend it and hope you enjoy it as much as did. Now I'm off to begin book 5, hurray!

Very, very exciting book!!

Craig just keeps getting better. Sci-Fi goodness with the honey enjoyment of a western. Yes, I can see the good aspects of Anne Macaffrey's "Pern" novels and that is great compliment!! Charles TillmanAuthor 3 books8

Book 4 and still going strong.

The Amazon Overlords have been waging war on the free people. Now it is time to fight back.
Good vs Evil in a fast paced slog through the jungle. Martelle continues to deliver a good tale with characters you can’t help but love. Cat-689 2

These books are everything I have hoped they would be. Entertaining, well paced and easy to ready. The character development is great and I am more than happy to continue on their journey with them. Rudeford Norman107

I was sent a ARC(advanced reader copy) for an honest review.
I found this book to be well written, concise ebook. I really love the well developed characters Craig has done it again!!! The Battles that Branden and Micha go into against the Ancient overlords. The minions the overlords have collected to them, the Hard road that our 2 heroes have to take thru an Amazon type jungle to kill off said overlords is a good tale to curl up with on a rainy day.
Love this book!!!sci-fi Karl Young12 1 follower

Fun and Adventure

This series of books is both fun and adventure filled from start to finish and needs more to fill out the planet of Vii and further the adventures of Braden and Micah.

Life on planet Vii

The characters of this book is what makes the story. Without them and their thoughts and antics life would be no fun. This story is a little darker than previous books but it is still good and has a great ending. Linda34 3
