Cats in the Laundromat ? . . .
Click, Scatter and Walter are dealing with something strange which seems to be their usual type case. A man who seems normal goes into a laundromat to conduct an odd experiment of tossing a cat into the dryer. (The animals are not injured and get rescued. But its an odd hobby, right?) Why is he doing this? Does it have anything to do with proving Erwin Schrödinger, the quantum physicist who tried to show that matter could exist in two states, was wrong? And can our heroes put an end to the craziness?
I enjoy these crazy cozies, but this one was a little too cerebral for me as I am writing late into the evening. But even if you dont want to match thoughts with a quantum physicist, you will still love the silliness of the characters and the way they always keep the reader smiling as they get to the bottom of things and solve the mystery. Grab your copy and see how they handle this one!

Click, Scatter, and Walter are imbedded in a new case that starts out trying to catch the person who is putting cats in the dryers of a laundromat. If that isn't odd enough, they capture the man and he manages to out maneuver the three investigators and escape, leading them into more mystery. No holds barred now as the three not only find the man, but learn about DNA, Schrödinger's cat, and PCR or is that PRC?
This fourth book in the fun series has layers of mysteries to be solved, and lots of answers to questions raised in previous books as well. Funny characters and fearless (and unfocussed at times) sleuthing mix with the author's vivid imagination combine to create a book that is a treat to read. Combining the best of cozy mystery and magical beings, surprises await discovery. Definitely a book to relax with instead of dealing with the "To Do" list! I loved it! Molly5,032 33
Scatter, Click, Walter and associates face a different kind of uncertainty: a distressed individual who is critical of certain principles of Uncertainty takes fairly literal exception to Schroedinger's theories about the potential to exist in more than one state of being simultaneously- the theory is a hypothetical involving a cat in a box. until verification via visual observation, the cat has the potential to be both dead and alive at the same time.
a critic throwing a cat into a dangerous situation makes the dead option more ly
what starts as an apparently relatively simple effort to limit vandalism and animal cruelty turns into an exploration of corporate espionage, possible infidelity and paternity, a complicated hex, and a murder investigation.
bizarre, sometimes hilarious, eerily insightful and almost always intense adventures.

A mad scientist at a laundromat? Just when you thought it could not get any stranger...
This is book four of the series, but it does just fine as a standalone. All the essential bits are covered early on.
This is a cozy mystery with a serious case of the unusual. The story is well written and easy to read with a wonderfully odd cast of characters to go along with it. The plot is a good one with plenty of mystery to be had and a tough case to solve. Oh, and plenty of humor as well which is all to the good. Overall, this was a great addition to the series and I look forward to checking out the next book.
Highly recommended.

A Beleaguering Spell is book #4 in The Bewitched Cozy Mysteries series by Constance Barker.
Click, Scatter, and Walter are investigating a case where a man in a nice suit transforms into a mad scientist and throws cats into dryers at a laundromat. And it got weirder from there. Love Subject 72. It was entertaining seeing them trying to figure out if this was the work of one person, a corporation, or something else.
Thank you to the author and BookSprout for the Advanced Reader Copy (ARC) copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review. Lynn 359 3
Click, Scatter and Walter are back and find themselves trying to solve the mystery of why a crazy man keeps stuffing cats into dryers. Of course her dark witch Kayla must be involved somehow. And Subject 72 ??. A great read and I am looking forward to the next book in the series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Phthon1,802 4
This is my favorite series by Constance Barker. The characters are hilarious and delightful. I thoroughly enjoy their antics! They crack me up. This case is weirder than most but proved to be quite difficult to solve. Click, Scatter, Walter, and Subject 72 solve it with their usual flair

We're back with Click, Scatter and Walter. As usual they can't just get a normalish case, but kitties being tossed into dryers is a whole nother crazy they weren't prepared for. Can't wait to read what their next adventure is. Jodi Sweet1,455 6
