I lost all semblance of control, completely enthralled by Ayla. She was the center of my universe. The light I couldn't keep, but didn't know how to walk away from.

Holy hell this book was exactly what I was looking for! This is my first book by Chloe, and I am so freaking glad that I came across this story as it was such a fantastic read. Jackson and Ayla have been hooking up secretly for months, both with differing reasons for keeping their steamy flings under wraps. However when the pack alpha discovers their clandestine meetings and forbids Jackson from seeking Ayla out, they both realize how much they are willing to sacrifice for their mate.

I loved how much angst, drama, and sexiness Chloe managed to pack into this story! Jackson and Ayla were so brilliant together; their love was hesitant at first but once unleashed, it was so beautiful to witness. I do wish we could have seen the first interaction between them as it's one of my favorite moments in shifter novels, but I'm so looking forward to the next book
