This is my 47th book by Chasity Bowlin. I have been reading her books since mid-2017. I know she isn't very steamy (hardly at all) but I've been reading her for so long and she is a really good writer. There are SO MANY authors out there that are definitely steamier but not as good of an author as she is. I know I'll get a good from her. So glad to see a new series out.

I loved Ethan and Charlotte. They were so meant for each other. I found this to be a quick read but super cute. I am looking forward to reading about Ethan's sister in book 2. 5 s Margerm, Pat290 2

3 1/2 stars My cynical self diss love at first sight stories. The H falls in love with the h when she calls upon him to welcome him to his new home. He harbours this love for seven years!!! while she is betrothed to another. When her betrothed jilts her and marries another, the H makes his move on the h first to support her from the gossip she faces when she appears in public and then to court her after an offer of marriage. The h's ex fiance and his wife begin confronting the h. The H defends her and protects her when her drunken ex tries to rekindle their relationship. A short story (about 125 pages) so not a lot of time to develop depth of character and layers in the plot.1 marilyn301 2

Heady Romance

What a beautiful romance! The Marquess and Charlotte are an exquisite couple. Ethan falls first and the romance that unfolds is perfect. Add in just the right amount of conflict and "just desserts" not to mention steam and you have an excellent read. Cynthia Houser1,394 7

Moody Marquess

I really enjoy Chasity's writing she is a good storyteller. This was a nice quick read, but it is not one of my favorites. I did enjoy the characters. They interesting and engaging. I look forward to reading the next book about Marquees' sister. Sue Glover35
