Rockstar drummer Julian Grayson went for coffee and forgot his wallet. No big deal. Until Charlotte offers to pay for his coffee and he gets furious. All he can think about is that she probably recognized him and his paying his coffee in exchange for something. The thing is, she has no idea who he is or why he’s reacting so strange, but he doesn’t correct her. He plays along as soon as he realizes that she’s different, and he s it. A lot.

If you’re having a bad day please do yourself a favor and read this book! You won’t regret it and you’ll just end up with a smile on your face! Guaranteed!

This is third, and final, in the series and I definitely recommend reading them in order. More, I recommend reading This Is Our Song to pick up Riley's story because he's pretty present, too. You can decide whether to pick up the others in that series (Our Song is fourth there). I didn't but that's because I bounced off the first so hard.

This was a frankly disappointing wrap-up, though not because it ruined anything with the band. Julian hasn't been present much in the other stories so I didn't have any expectations for him. Given the caliber of his bandmates, I know I wasn't expecting such a whiner rage-baby, though. we pick up with him pulling a rather public stunt on his wedding day to humiliate his fiancée. Which is a douche move though it's hard to have any sympathy for her given the details that come out. What is firmly established, however, is that Julian's pain is pretty much all self-inflicted. Which is to say, he knew who and what she was but stayed with her anyway, planned a wedding anyway, and only came to his senses when it became clear just how badly he'd chosen for someone to marry.

I very nearly put this down after a few chapters of him being a grumpy jackhat and only him being caught up in Charlotte's cause really kept me going. I mean, having him find happiness in serving others is a compelling character arc and I d her being all caring and strength. I particularly d that she didn't care about him being famous and rich (and I'm really glad her not knowing he was both didn't last as long as I'd feared it would). I d that she was impatient with his instinct for lavish gifts and was able to articulate what she needed from him. She was pure win, frankly.

Of course, he's a grumpy, self-undermining snotrag so stuck on avoiding the pain of the past that he can't trust himself with a future. Or, not that exactly, but more he ignores every clue that he's destroying the relationships he cares about (with the band, too, not just Charlotte) because he's still wound-up about what happened before. And the whole time I'm waiting for somebody to drag him to a decent therapist so he can talk past the pain. But no, that never happened (despite hints by several others that maybe he should). At any rate, he's all negative motivation* with a simmering anger that he's mostly in denial about. So the entire friction was all internal to him and that we never really see him grow to overcome. It was pretty much "yup, I'm done being a sulky bear any more and I'm glad I didn't actually have to talk things out with a therapist or anyone else, really, first!"

So this is a weak three stars and I'm sad that Julian wasn't more mature and/or that he didn't actually work his way to health. I d Charlotte and d seeing the rest of the characters from the other books as well. Yeah, not a real ringing endorsement, I know.

Oh yeah, Edit to add: In case you're wondering, this one actually ends at the 68% mark!!! Fortunately, I checked in advance this time so I knew that 34% was really halfway. I mean, that's essentially adding half of another story to the end of a book. Doesn't that seem excessive to you?

A note about Steamy: There's a bit more fooling around on-page in this one than the others, so it earns the Steam tag a bit more directly. There's still no actual explicit sex scenes, though, so it's still on the really light side of steamy.

* Negative Motivations: I kind of hate that the term "negative motivation" isn't widespread, yet. Since it isn't, I'm going to save off this little jag to append to my that feature the term. Jennifer Crusie blogged about it a bit back (or, if that link doesn't work, here's a cache of the original) and it changed how I understand story. The problem with the term is that if you've never heard it before, you'd assume it meant motivations that are harmful or immoral. Not so. What it refers to is motivations not to do something. The thing is that many of us are motivated to not do things for a lot of different, perfectly valid and reasonable, reasons. The problem is that in a story motivations to not do things are a huge drag on the plot—particularly considering the fact that most negative motivations are overcome by the character simply deciding they don't care any more (or, rather, that they do care and are now motivated to do the thing). So not only do you have a counter to action but you also have a situation where to overcome it, all a character has to do is change their mind. Which means eventually, the reader is rooting for the character to get over him/herself already and do the thing we want them to do. Conflict drives story. Between the Band on the Run series and the Shaughnessy Brothers series, author Samantha Chase managed to grab my eye and keep me engaged. Packed with a lot of emotion, a refreshing heroine, a stubborn hero, and lots of catching up with the other members of the band, One More Moment was a great ending to this series.

After a spectacular revelation at his wedding that didn’t happen and a three month sabbatical rock star drummer Julian Grayson is back in California and trying to figure out what is next with his life, but on a morning coffee run he realizes he forgot his wallet and a woman pays for his order which irritates him because he believes she has recognized him and everyone else wants something from him. He quickly begins to realize that social worker Charlotte Clark simply was doing a good deed for someone she believed was in need, and he is intrigued and curious about this woman who is so genuine and wants nothing more than to make the lives of the people who come to her for help better.

First off I want to thank Ms. Chase for Charlotte Clark, a heroine with a heart of gold but also strong enough to give tough love when it is needed and believe me when I say Julian needed it. Charlotte was a breath of fresh air; optimistic even when things were at their worst and willing to go the extra mile for those who would let her. She was smart, but also had a hard time saying no even when it dug into her personal time because she felt that strongly about helping others which is why she was determined to help Julian when she thought he was down and out and even when she found out he was a famous rock star. I have a lot of admiration for Charlotte.

I’ll admit that I had a rough time trying to figure out Julian and got a bit tired of his belief that the entire music world thought of him as a fool and honestly that was the sole reason this book was not five stars. I get that he was humiliated but he brought a lot of that on himself and he seemed to dwell on the negatives in everything instead of the positives. I thought as he shared some of his life with Charlotte that he would begin to understand why she and others thought he needed some counseling, yet he refused to get help and it frustrated me to no end. I hated that he didn’t see he was repeating old patterns and how toxic his thoughts and actions had become. There were moments when I thought he was getting a handle on things and then he fall back again, thankfully Charlotte was so even keel she handled him well and knew when to back off, his band and his manager though were another story.

I loved watching their relationship play out even with all the ups and downs and most of all I applauded Charlotte for making Julian face his past, his feelings, and realize that only he could control what happened in his life. I also loved that in helping others Julian found joy in his music, joy in giving back, and joy in making a difference. I know it sounds I didn’t Julian very much, but that wasn’t the case I felt Julian was in a really bad place and he needed help to get back to the man who was always willing to help his friends and family when they needed him without being used.

Julian isn’t your average band member, and it shows in his personality. Charlotte was the perfect character to land at Julian’s feet. The two create a world that I really could have stood to read more about! Make sure you read the other books in the series prior to One More Moment!

She is genuine, compassionate person who loves the beach, her job and her community. I adored Charlotte and her desire to help people.
After leaving his cheating ex-fiancé at the altar, Julian is back in California after a three -month cross country trip. He’s angry, emotionally burned out and he’s avoiding his Shaughnessy band members; Riley, Matt and Dylan. He is so surprised that Charlotte doesn’t want something from him- an autograph, picture or a hookup. He is so jaded that he can’t accept a cup of coffee from someone without immediately thinking the worst.
People ask me why I read Samantha Chase’s novels. I ADORE her characters. I can connect with Ms. Chase’s honest, flawed characters. You might see a glimpse of your brother, sister, husband or best friend in her stories. Each character is unique and grows within the story. I connected with Charlotte and Julian’s story immediately. I loved watching this couple who seemed so very different fall in love. Loving Charlotte brought out the best in Julian. I loved the scene when he asked Charlotte what she would do if she had an entire day off. He made her dreams of reading at the beach come true; a simple but heartfelt gesture. The couple has obstacles to overcome. Julian needs to acknowledge his feelings towards his ex-fiancé and move forward. Most importantly, Julian needs to accept that Charlotte loves him; not what his money can buy her.
One More Moment is so much more than a rock band book. This novel tackles several social issues. Homelessness, unemployment, trust, communication and commitment are integral pieces of the storyline. Samantha Chase’s strong narrative voice shines in this story as Julian struggles with anger, loss and self-doubt. Even though the chemistry between the couple is off the charts, falling in love doesn’t come easy for Charlotte and Julian. Their struggles are real and their journey had several unexpected twists and turns.
If you are looking for a book with all the feels… one click ONE MORE MOMENT! I am sure you will adore this compassionate character driven story!
I enjoyed each of the Band OnThe Run novels. Each book tackled a tough subject – ill-advised career decisions, drunk driving, anger and avoidance—and wove in humor, compassion and love. I connected with each character and became immersed in their journeys. I recommend each one of the books within the series

This was a great read - a sweet romance that doesn't have a ton of angst. It's more about the character development than the drama. Which is what I've come to depend on from this Band on the Run series. Not sugary sweet but sweet none-the-less. The heroine was fantastic - a social worker with a big heart who also isn't afraid to stand up for herself or others. She was a breath of fresh air. All in all, I really enjoyed this one. This was a solid 4.5 read for me. A wonderful way to wrap up the bands tale! Chase masterfully draws the readers straight into the storytelling with heartfelt emotional connections and an engaging plot. Just the perfect amount real honest people, drama and life circumstances and deep and undeniable love. I flat out loved it.

One More Moment by Samantha Chase in the third book in her Band on the Run series, but the first I read and loved it! I am definitely going back and reading the previous books! This story was unexpectedly sweet and charming.

Julian Grayson is tired and needs a break. He loves his band, but with a cheating fiancé and always being in the spotlight, he needed to get away. And when a friendly woman offers to pay for his coffee when he forgot his wallet, he thinks she has ulterior motives. All Charlotte wants to do is help a man she thinks may be in need. So begins a journey that will change both of their lives!

Charlotte is friendly, sweet and loves to help others when she can. She is all heart. Julian, being disillusioned right now, does not react the way she expected. But what she does not know is who this man truly is, and he is taken off guard by that. People always want something from him and she is so refreshing!

I really enjoyed reading One More Moment by Samantha Chase. For a story about a musician, it was truly sweet and adorable read. I loved the characters so much and their story. I am excited to read the previous books!

Taking time off from the band and the spotlight is the right thing for Julian Grayson. He needs time to sort through the anger and get past it after the betrayal of his bride-to-be, but it isn't easy since her betrayal has cost him a lot. However, the moment he meets Charlotte Clark, he finds he's more alive than he's ever been, especially since she doesn't know who he is. Yet, the more time they spend together, the more Julian discovers how different Charlotte and his ex are. Will Julian be able to convince Charlotte to take a chance on him or will she walk away from her chance at happy ever after because Julian doesn't realize why she doesn't need anything else but him?

This is the first book I've read of this series, and I've got to say that it was absolutely engrossing, fast-paced and a story I was totally charmed by because of the wonderful main characters; the compelling dialogue that had me loving this couple's growing relationship, their back stories and the obstacles they face to be together; and the secondary characters that entertained me just as much as the main ones because they would do anything for Julian.

The way this story started with the prologue had me sympathizing with the hero because how could his bride-to-be believe she could get away with everything she was doing and I d that he wasn't about to continue to let her get away with everything she's done to him. Was the way he goes about exposing her too much? However, it was from the moment where Julian and Charlotte come face-to-face for the first time where this story really takes off, as Julian can't believe anyone could be as generous as the heroine without a motive. Will he find she's just a good person?

As for the dialogue, it was intense due to the main characters back stories, especially that of the hero, because he's angry for what his ex did to him and it's made him question everything and has him wondering who he can trust. Moreover, I really d both the main characters. They had me reading this story quickly, determined to discover more about them and what obstacles they would face to be together. Will Julian realize that all Charlotte wants is him before it's too late? Certainly, she's nothing his ex in needing to be given something extravagant every time something goes wrong between them.

With the heroine, she's resilient, hard-working, kind, caring and I d how determined she was to help Julian, even though it seems he doesn't need her help. He's not helpless, but just angry at life. Will the hero be able to overcome his issues? I also d how good Charlotte is for Julian because he needs to get past what's happened. No way can he keep going he's going. He needs to face the past if he's to ever have a future with her. While the hero, he's struggling to move on from what his ex did and I could understand why he finds it hard to trust people. Still, I d the hero's progression, as he begins to live life again by helping the heroine and then realizing that music is still very important to him. Really, it isn't easy for him to give up, no matter how much he thinks giving up his music career will help him to move forward with his life.

Overall, Ms. Chase has delivered a well-written and wonderful read in this book where the chemistry between this couple was intense; the romance was delightful and sweet and shows how good these two are together; and the ending had me loving the hero's determination to win back Charlotte after their relationship goes awry. However, it was the epilogue that wrapped this story up nicely, as I d how far Julian's come since meeting Charlotte. The opening of this book pulls you in immediately. Its his wedding day, and his wedding day doesn't happen so he sets off for 3 months of soul searching/time out time. He is crashing at a house in Malibu picking up the pieces of his life and trying to figure it out. He's a famous drummer in the band Shaughnessy Brothers.

Enter Charlotte.....

Charlotte is a happy, friendly, do-gooder. She is at a coffee shop, waiting in line behind this guy who looks he's down on his luck. She is a social worker, but helps people with jobs, and everything else when they're down on their luck. She assumes he's down on his with the way he looks, and the fact that he ordered coffee and food, and realizes he forgot his wallet she comes to the rescue and pays for his order. He doesn't get it. People usually want something from him, and he realizes she doesn't know who he is. So, he plays along. He shows up and volunteers, doesn't give up any information, but eventually people do realize who he is.

This was a cute read. For some reason, I couldn't feel the connection between these two. While I thought the story was cute, I didn't find that they had much chemistry. I wanted a little more of a connection. But overall, the story was cute and I've enjoyed this series with the guys.2 s Pennie Morgan2,087 8

This was an absolute delight! Charlotte Clark is waiting for coffee behind a disheveled looking man who is grumbling and when he gets to the front of the line and orders he realizes he forgot his wallet. She offers to pay for his coffee when she orders his and he is angry and dismayed and follows her out of the coffee shop. Julian Grayson has never gotten anything before without someone asking for something in return. He is insistent she wants something. Charlotte is convinced he is homeless and just wants to help. He is actually a rock star who has been running from his life for the past 3 months. What follows is a remarkable love story that renews our faith in others. Charity given for the sake of just a good deed with nothing expected in return is the best thing and we really do reap what we sow. This is the end of this series and since I have not read the rest of the series I was not lost. I did read several of the Shaughnessy books and loved those. I think it is time to go back and finish that series and find the rest of this one.

The Shaughnessy Brothers: Band on the Run series has been one I have enjoyed throughout and One More Moment was a perfect addition! I will say that this book will be more enjoyable if you have read the others in the series. The other characters are present and having some knowledge of their backstory is helpful.

Julian Grayson has always been the most mysterious of the Shaughnessy band members. It was clear he was the drummer and that everyone around him thought he could do better in the girlfriend department, but that was all we knew. What I can tell you is that Jules is SO much more than that and I was so excited to learn more about him. He's passionate, loyal, stubborn and he's wickedly talented.

Charlotte Clark loves to help people. She is a social worker and wants to do the best she can for those that come through her office door and sometimes it is at her own expense. She's passionate and she's committed to her work without a doubt, but she wants more than that. She wants the family and the white picket fence and what she wouldn't give for a beachfront view.

When Julian and Charlotte meet in line at the coffee house, Charlotte mistakes the circumstances and believes that Julian is in need of her professional skills. Liking that Charlotte has no clue who he is, Julian doesn't correct her. As the two begin to spend more and more time together, the attraction grows and finally it can't be stopped any longer. The question is, will the baggage from Julian's previous relationship not only tank this one before it really gets started, but will it also end his music career?

This book was fantastic from the start. I loved all of the characters and the way that everything unfolded. It seemed this could really happen in the real world. To me, this book was about finding your inner strength to overcome the things that are put in your path and you have to be ready to deal with them to finally come to that conclusion. Watching the way that both Charlotte and Julian grew, both separately and as a couple, was lovely to see and it should show people that sometimes you have to lean on others to get back to where you really need to be.2 s Karen5,386 71

I thought story was a bit long and then I wondered why it felt that way. I think I was not interested in Julian at all. I didn't what he did at his wedding and him being a doormat and then taking his anger out at every one. I just think counseling was needed from the get go. Author alluded several times as Charlotte was someone qualifed. So it felt dragged on to me. So let me tell you what THE best part of this book was ….. Charlotte Clark! What an incredible character this author created. And a perfect match for our hero. This woman was everything we all aspire to be …strong and independent, the glass was always half full and sunshine peeked thru cloudy skies. Man, I loved her! And yes, Julian is able also but Charlotte … yeah. She made this story stand out.

The last of the Band on the Run stories packed a bit of a punch on all fronts. It was bittersweet knowing this was the last book in the series but the author made sure to throw in past characters in the journey for us to make it that much more meaningful. This series has been a hit for me from the beginning. It has made my heart smile from the beginning.

I’ve said this in every review of this series and it still stands now: This was another high ranking **happy sigh** book that shouldn't be missed by this author. If one word could sum up this book, it might be “unexpected.” Many of us have the memory of a small, seemingly random act that turned into more than we imagined. When vocational counselor Charlotte Clark buys a coffee for the guy ahead of her in line, she thinks he's in the same dire straits as her clients, possibly even homeless. She tells him not to worry about repaying her, but to pay it forward. After a few more not-so-random encounters they get to know each other a little better. Imagine Charlotte's surprise when Julian eventually reveals he's Julian Grayson, drummer for the famous rock band, Shaughnessy.

The early copy I read of this book was my first by this author, and for me it was certainly unexpected. I figured I was reading another common romance in a vast, cluttered sea of them. I anticipated a few hours of escape and that the characters would leave my mind as soon as I was on to the next book. Instead, Charlotte and Julian snuck into my heart and now refuse to leave. These characters were a delightful, evocative, spellbinding, heart-gripping surprise.

Charlotte is such an amazingly good person that her goodness infuses everything she does. She’s content with her ordinary life and finds satisfaction in the good she can do for her clients and seeing the difference her assistance makes in their lives. She’s genuine, down to earth and compassionate and her natural inclination and training make it impossible for her to not try to help others in need. Of course these are all things that draw Julian to her.

Now Julian is a different story. He’s a pretty colossal mess during most of the book, and one of my favorite lines is when Charlotte tells him “I loved you when you were being completely unlovable.“ In Julian's defense, he's had some pretty carpy stuff happen, with his girlfriend of five years using him for his fame and money and cheating on him most of those five years, but he didn’t help his case with the publicly humiliating way he ended things. He also didn’t help his relationship with his band mates, who've been brothers to him, by running away for three months and then turning his back on music. He has a lot of anger, even rage, to work out and his preferred coping mechanism is avoidance. He also tends to fall back on old relationship practices that may have worked with his fiancée but have the opposite effect with a very different Charlotte.

Charlotte and Julian are the most believable, complex, endearing characters I’ve read in quite a while. Ms. Chase made them so authentic and realistic I felt I knew them personally and was completely invested in seeing them get their forever, as I would be for any good friend. She also exemplifies something I wish a lot of authors would figure out. The reader's connection to and investment in the characters come from the depth of the emotional connection between the two characters, which may or may not include detailed sexy times in the bedroom. Have no doubt, these two have some deep emotions that tugged my heart all over the place, and their chemistry is so smoking hot it’s impossible for the reader to miss. Because of this, I found the story fully complete and satisfying even without the bedroom details. In some ways, I think it made the connection between the characters stronger since the focus was on their interactions, their thoughts and their feelings.

One More Moment breaks the mold and shatters any preconceived notions of the rock star romance trope. There is little of the rock band trappings, and Julian is definitely an atypical rock star. But after spending a good portion of the book wallowing in anger and trapped in the past, he manages to redeem himself in an epic way, giving a whole new meaning to “pay it forward." It was amazingly beautiful to see and filled my heart so full I thought it would burst. All of his internal fighting and wrestling and being stuck just made his figuring things out and overcoming his demons that much more rewarding. If you’re looking for something fresh, inspiring, captivating, unique and unexpected, you'll love this book. But be warned, Charlotte and Julian will undoubtedly steal your heart.

It’s always sad to finish the last book in a series and say goodbye to characters you’ve come to love. In ONE MORE MOMENT by Samantha Chase, we’re saying goodbye to the members of the world-famous rock band “Shaughnessey” and the women who love them. The final story belongs to drummer Julian Greyson who, after bringing their wedding to a complete halt by totally embarrassing his cheating fiancée in front of the wedding guests, takes a break from the band and goes off on a quest to find himself. He no longer wants to deal with the paparazzi or his rock band lifestyle, so he decides to quit the band.
While visiting a Starbucks, social worker Charlotte Clark mistakes Julian for a homeless man and buys him coffee. Not realizing that Charlotte hasn’t recognized him, Julian gets angry. He is not used to people doing things for him without wanting something from him in return. Charlotte convinces Julian to volunteer at the homeless shelter. He is intrigued by her passion for what she does, and by the time she finds out who he is, there is a strong attraction between them. He continues to find ways to help her at the shelter, but the band and the fans want him back.
This is a classic story of opposites attract. Charlotte is happy, confident, and generous. Julian is grumpy, uncomfortable with his life and had serious issues with trust. Charlotte is very good for Julian, but he is his own worst enemy.
This story grabbed me right from the wedding scene at the start and didn’t let me go. I was intrigued by Julian’s dilemma about giving up the life of a famous rock star, and I loved Charlotte and their developing relationship. The supporting characters remained true to the characters established in the previous books, and I was glad to see that they had major roles in this book also.
All in all, this was a well-written, fitting end to the Shaughnessey Band series. I am just sad that we won’t be coming back to revisit Julian and Charlotte to see how they are doing down the road.

It’s always a bittersweet moment for me when a series I’ve enjoyed comes to a close – but what a story to finish off the Shaughnessy Brothers: Band on the Run series. If you need a feel good romance in your life right now, this is the story you’ll want to pick up. Charlotte is that heroine you’ll fall in love with and want for your best friend. She’s upbeat, sees the good in all people, gives far beyond the criteria of her “job” and is simply a good, nice person. Her first encounter with Julian shows her core beliefs and she, frankly, was a joy to encounter. Julian is… harder, more cynical, definitely wounded in ways that he himself keeps perpetuating. Yes, he’s a famous rock star who cannot believe that someone would do a good deed simply because they could with no payback in any form their goal. He’s been shaken to his core by his wedding that never happened experience, and by other life lessons so he allows Charlotte to believe what she thinks she sees, a man down on his luck, and enjoys being seen for himself for a change. He’ll have to tell her the truth eventually, but for now he’s simply going with the flow that is Charlotte at her very best… real, honest and giving.

I admit, there were times that Julian was hard to take. Yet when he finally got his “aha” moment, that was golden to see the man he could become once he left the past where it belongs, in the rear-view mirror. It was fun to run into familiar faces, and I leave this world happy with the series and the people I met in Band on the Run. Now I’m looking forward to what Samantha Chase brings us next. I would definitely recommend One More Moment to any Romance reader who enjoys touches of reality, a believable couple and a very good story.

This is the third book in the series, and somehow I missed the earlier ones, but will be rectifying that when I find the time. I have however read many Samantha Chase novels and enjoyed them all - so was certain this would be good. If you are a big fan of rockstar romances, me, then you will definitely enjoy this one.

Julian has spent the last five years with someone that he now finds himself about to marry ... but he has a plan to ensure that he doesn't. A really dramatic start to a book, and an act which it turns out affected him almost more than anyone else. As the book develops we get to understand what type of a guy he is, and why this was such an uncharacteristic act, and such a damaging one. Luckily, he has some great bandmates, and meets a woman who has nothing but good intentions at heart.

Charlotte is a normal woman, with an important job helping others. She just can't help herself, which is how she comes across Julian, and the whole misunderstanding gives then a chance to get to know each other. I love that she is so self aware that she worries about how she will survive afterwards, as she will not be able to help going all in. She is not fearful, just a realist.

The author cleverly piles the pressure on Julian and gives us both their viewpoints, so that we can appreciate how even the kindest exchange of words can trigger bad reactions, and pick at the underlying issues. Obviously there is a master plan, and the reader just has to be patient and hopeful, that both of these people will get the future they deserve.

There is so much I could say about this book, and it would all be true.

Julian's character has been hurt so many time and goes out of his way to be step up, be the person that everyone can depend on. On his wedding day, he decides he needs a break and does the unthinkable. He outs his fiancee's cheating on him to everyone just before they say their vows. Needing a much needed break, he leaves town on the back of his bike seeing solace in the unknown.

Charlotte Clark is a social worker who helps people, who for whatever reason, that have lost their way. Growing up she watched her father struggle after losing his job. Knowing that the pain of that loss affects more than the adults, she does her best to make sure the entire family finds stability during trying times.

When she meets Julian, she sees that he's struggling with something, but not sure what. Julian can't help thinking that everyone wants something from him. When Charlotte buys him a coffee when he forgets his wallet, he can't help but think that of her. He can't seem to accept that she wants nothing in return.

As he gets to know her better, he sees the kindness in her and begins to believe again. Then his ex shows up and reminds him that he can't trust those who supposedly love it.

A great book that I highly recommend. I couldn't put it down.

This can totally be read as a stand alone story, but i would bet it would still be nice to know more of the previous characters stories, however enough is given in this book to keep you in the know.

Charlotte is a hard worker with a passion for her job helping the homeless find their feet in the most careful and sensitive way. It is a misunderstanding thinking that Julian is a little the people that she helps out daily that sends these two into a happiness that they thought may never happen for them.

Julian has only just got back from a three month road trip after a dramatic ending to his previous unhealthy relationship. He is surprised that someone is doing something for him for nothing, let alone that she does not recognise him.

The pair work really well together, it is only Julians past that is keeping him from seeing how his past is hurting the new relationship that he wants with Charlotte, however he certainly is good at organising help for Charlottes work and getting hands on with the helping.

I really enjoyed this book, the sex scenes were what my mother describes and 'closed door' scenes, however there was still heat and certainly chemistry between the pair that scorched the pages.

How do you spend a relaxing week at the beach? You load up on books and you definitely include this one.

The Band Shaughnessy has had its fair share of trouble with its bandmates and Julian Grayson is not immune. Fresh off a three month hiatus from life he has decided that maybe it’s time for him to quit the band. A very public breakup from his ex-fiancée and a circus of rumors of her infidelity he’s pretty sure he wants to quit everything. He just wants to live a life out of the spotlight; however, meeting Charlotte gives him a glimpse of what giving up everything includes.

Charlotte is a healer and a fixer by nature. Her job as a social worker allows her to do what comes natural to her. But Charlotte may have just met the one person she can’t heal or fix. Julian’s a real tough nut to crack and teaches Charlotte that sometime you can’t fix or heal someone but you can be the stability they need to fix themselves.

I really enjoyed Charlotte and Julian. Although things seemed to move a little fast, I d the way their relationship started and how it progressed. There wasn’t anything in particular about this book and story line that jumped out at me but the flow was easy and the characters were really likable, all of the characters.

This is book 3 in the Band on the Run Series and a spin off from The Shaughnessy Brothers Series so there are quite a bit of recurring characters or mention of them. It did get a little overwhelming reading about past characters but it wasn’t distracting, in fact it’s making me want to go back and read those books.

Great beach read to finish out the summer.

What do you do when you are virtually left at the altar? That is the position drummer Julian Grayson finds himself in and he decides to take 3 months off and retreat to the beach to contemplate his life and his future.
When Julian forgets his wallets and cannot pay for his coffee Charlotte Clark offers to pay. Julian is sure that she has recognised him, and this is an attempt to get him to “owe” her. after all he is a famous rock star, but nothing could be further from the truth.
Charlotte has no idea who Julian is, all she was trying to do was a good deed.Charlotte is sweet and a tad naive and decides to throw herself into helping Julian transform his life. Julian decides to go along with it knowing full well he will have to eventually reveal who he really is. What will happen when Charlotte finds out the truth?
I was riveted from the start with this book and it was fantastic to see some characters that I recognise make an appearance. This book at times was an emotional roller coaster with plenty of drama, angst and love sprinkled throughout.
Although a stand alone I do feel you might get more enjoyment if you were to read the previous two books in the series

Ultra famous rock star comes out of hiding from the world after a huge public breakup when he meets his match in a woman that is the complete opposite of his previous love. That’s it in a nutshell-but it was a fun nutshell!

When I first received this book for review, I immediately went and bought book one from the Band on the Run series titled, One More Kiss. It was my first book by this author and to be honest it didn’t blow me away. So then I went into this third book in the series a bit worried. Well, I shouldn’t have worried at all, it was so much better and I really enjoyed it. It also didn’t matter that I hadn’t read book two, as each can standalone.

Not going to lie, the prologue to this book managed to really surprise me. Talk about a twist. I was familiar with the two main characters from the prologue after reading book one(sorta)so it wasn’t totally unexpected-just the way it was done. It surprised me and it takes a lot to do that with a contemporary romance so that was a mark in it’s favor from the beginning.

Julian Grayson is the drummer for Shaughnessy, a hugely successful rock band. He is just back from taking on on a three month odyssey to find himself and heal. He’s been hurt horribly emotionally and he has a lot to get over after his bad breakup. His first morning back, as he waits in line for coffee, a woman in the line mistakes him for a homeless person due to the state of his hair and the clothes that he slept in. He thinks she’s got an agenda and it takes him awhile to understand that she’s just a good person who knows nothing about him. She’s a social worker for the homeless and he doesn’t exactly explain who he is at first. It’s new for him to have someone that wants to give to him for a change. It’s not for the whole book, but long enough for some confusion-among other things.

Charlotte Clark is clueless when it came to Julian. She knows she’s attracted to him, but knows she needs to be professional and help him find a job. When he visits the homeless shelter she works part time at, he suddenly becomes aware of a part of life that he hadn’t thought twice about. He ends up volunteering. And of course, a romance happens. I am going to leave the story at that due to spoilers, other than to say that Julian is pretty broken and Charlotte was pretty perfect to be the one to mend him.

This is one of those books that you get to see quite a bit of the previous rockers and their women and I really that. The characters are well drawn, Julian’s in particular. I really felt for him at times and wanted to yell at him at other times. And Charlotte was just an all around sweetheart, although she does has a bit of the feisty in her.

This book was worth it for the prologue and how the couple meet alone, but over and beyond that, I just really d the read. One thing I wish there was more of was with the band on the road or in concert. There’s definitely not a lot of that. It’s an adult read, as it features foreplay(and after), but anything explicit happens mostly behind closed doors. Still I would recommend this to 16+ contemporary romance readers. Samantha did an amazing job yet again with this book, the 3rd book in the Band on the Run series. One More Moment caught ur attention with all the feels. Julian running from an almost marriage comes home after a 3 month long road trip. He wasn't excepting to meet anyone let alone fall for the beautiful Charlotte. Their meeting wasn't normal by any stretch, they both were at a local coffee shop. After Julian had ordered he realized he had forgotten his wallet, Charlotte was standing in line behind him and figured that she would pay it forward and pay for his coffee. Julian was offended by this gesture of kindness. Charlotte was taken by surprise and told him to just pay in forward the next time. After that encounter Julian couldn't get her out of his head. There was something about her that he couldn't put his finger on, he wanted to know more about her. Charlotte on the other hand thought that he might be down on his luck a d in need to a job so she offers her assistance to help. I loved this book to feature the last of the members of the band Shaughnessy. Julian, the drummer of the band has been a bit of an enigma throughout the series, and he definitely came into his own in this book. Throughout the other books each of the band members have at least once worried about Julian's horrible relationship with Dena, the woman who took and took and took from Julian but gave him nothing much in return. The first chapter of the book was definitely over-the-top as Julian finally deals with Dena, setting him on a new path.

Charlotte, the workaholic social worker proves to be the perfect match for Julian. While she definitely has a soft heart, she's also strong enough and determined enough to stand up to Julian.

The book ends with a nice wrap-up/reminder of each of the band members' stories, reminding us of where they've been, what they've gone through, and where they are now. It also made me long to go back and read of their stories again, which I'm sure I will at some point.

Once again I didn't realise that this was a part of a 'series'. That being said it didn't lessen my enjoyment, I didn't feel as though I was at all at a disadvantage. I would have preferred to start at the beginning and read the other couples stories, but that was my issue with not checking!

I have added the rest of the books to my TBR list (which is just growing and growing!)

This story was a great tale of forgiveness, love, and generosity.

The main characters Julian and Charlotte are flawed, they have each faced things that have made them the people they are today. It is a was lovely to see them start to trust again.

I had my struggles at the beginning with Julian, I found it hard to connect with him, but he grew on me soon enough. Charlotte was absolutely clueless, I just adored her!

I'm looking forward to ready the rest of the booked in this series and also checking out more from this author!

An emotional read full of heart and sweet heat. One More Moment had me hooked from the jaw dropping beginning! Quickly turning into such a sweet story that was bursting at the seams with seriously swoony romance and heartfelt emotion. Julian and Charlotte’s story swept me off my feet!
A rockstar on the run after a horrible relationship, Julian is hiding from everyone and everything and truly lost. I couldn’t help but find myself drawn to Julian. My heart ached for him and all he had been through. Charlotte was the complete opposite of Julian. Grounded, cheerful, and full of kindness with a generous heart she was exactly what he needed in his life when these two crossed paths.
With just as much healing and growth as there was romance One More Moment is guaranteed to hit you right in the feels on nearly every page!1 Amy579 17
