Too good to put down!

I've lost sleep because I couldn't put this book down! Ross masterfully tells two parallel stories while leaving you on the edge of your seat after each chapter. I can't wait to read what happens next to Tamsen and Rachel!

Good characters, Good storyline, BUT!

This book has a great story but I had to force myself to finish it.
It is almost reading a manual to an appliance .
All the head nodding up and down, all the. ums and ahs before each sentence.
Just when something exciting or interesting happens then the writer goes into a long detailed boring account of everything from the characters thoughts to reviewing everything that could or has happened. A story full of life’s hardships and joys.

The author has written a great story of the hardships of the early settlers and how they dealt with them. A story full of compelling with setbacks. Sharon3
