I do me some Celia Crown. She has me at Dirty Psychopath and kept me with Beasts and her Villain Daddy series. She’s dark enough, with her line pushing, self serving and morally gray MCs. Her books are fun and interesting to read as she comes up with some interesting situations. I definitely follow her to make sure I don’t miss her releases.

Beautiful Deception had a forced proximity situation going, as our MCs converge at a house party with some side characters. I enjoyed seeing how everyone developed, and the little clues Maya physically felt and had throughout their stay.

I would have enjoyed some additional character POVs, as an epilogue or something, but I also feel that leaving it open also left a bit of darkness allowing my imagination to run free. I found this to be a nice quick read and left me in the mood for more, by this author. Sam Allen1,448 8

A bit confusing to be honest. I felt it was as though there were gaps in the story and you never really find out what is going on, even at the end. Not particularly romantic. So sorry, but not for me.

Maya, Kian and Remo, are a dark tale with twisting suspense, engaging read but felt a little rushed in parts.

"I'm her wife" - it's so peculiar but so fitting that it cracked me up.
Overall a nice mystery. But a bit of prologue or background to their start would have made it better and I wish there were more intimate touches , a little more describing who and when gave her that hickey . This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.Show full review Nate20.6k 19
