Miss Isobel and the Prince is the second book in an interconnected trilogy that tells the story of a triplet of identical sisters who go to London for a season to discover who were their parents and what come to them.

Lady Isobel Lennox and Prince Claudio have just arrived in London, from Scotland the first and Germany the latter. They start bickering since their first encounter, because of a problem of miscommunication and their strong personalities. But soon enough they feel a mutual attraction and their continuous quarreling only hide their growing emotions. Will they subvert the rules of the ton to get together? Or don't they feel ready yet to fight for their relationship?

I've enjoyed this story from beginning to end.
Isobel and Claudio are likable, intriguing, charming, and stubborn. I d their lively conversations, that always open up to some more deep thoughts about their differences and what they really want from their future.
I adored to see them mature as time goes by, and how they learn more about this new reality they live in when they are in each other company.

I look forward to the final installment to unravel the mystery surrounding these three beautiful women.

Award-winning author Catherine Tinley’s Miss Isobel and the Prince is an enchanting Regency romance guaranteed to charm and delight!

Miss Isobel Lennox is desperate. With her less than impressive dowry and lack of known parents, she has one London season to make a sensible match – and the odds aren’t exactly stacked in her favour! Isobel is fully aware that she needs to be practical and not hold out for love. With her future at stake, Isobel cannot afford to be distracted or to have her head turned by handsome gentlemen who are out of her reach – so why has she found herself dazzled by the most unattainable man of all: dashing, charismatic and handsome Prince Claudio?

Isobel is not high-born enough to ever be considered a suitable bride for Claudio. But when she succumbs to a passionate kiss with the attractive royal, Isobel quickly realises that the man who is so far out of her reach is the one to whom she has given her heart!

Claudio had no intention of marrying yet, however, the more time he spends in Isobel’s company, the more he realises that he’s fallen head over heels in love with her. With so many obstacles standing in their way, is a future for Isobel and Claudio possible? Can they find a way to be together? Or is their forbidden love simply not meant to be?

Catherine Tinley’s magical historical romances never fail to hit the spot and Miss Isobel and the Prince is another superb Regency tale that I had a hard time putting down. Isobel is a wonderful heroine I adored and her wit, intelligence and humour had me cheering her on to get the happy ending she deserved. Meanwhile, Claudio was a gorgeous hero it is impossible not to lose your heart to.

A Regency romance that touches the heart and entertains and enthralls from beginning to end, Miss Isobel and the Prince is another winner from Catherine Tinley readers will thoroughly enjoy.

This book contains:
• Unknown parentage
• Verbal sexual assault.
Characters
Izzy is the middle sister of triplets who have been given the opportunity to experience a season in London. While she’s the most outspoken of the three sisters, and all they’ve ever known is the quiet rural life. She’s always dreamed of a bigger world, and going to London is the opportunity of a lifetime for her.
Claudio is the third son of the ruler of Andernach, and spending time in England to see the world and get away from his overbearing, strict parents and family expectations. While in England, he’s been enjoying himself and living up his bachelor lifestyle.
Storyline
Izzy and her sisters are travelling to London to experience a London season, and hopefully find out more about who their parents were. On the way to London, Izzy and Claudio meet by chance sparking the start of something more.
Overall Thoughts
The confidence that Izzy has in herself, and her worth was so fun to see and explore as she spent more time in London. While Claudio kept trying to figure out Izzy and what he wants from life, Izzy spent her time enjoying London and making the most of her time there.
And while I can understand Claudio enjoying his freedom, especially because he hasn’t had a chance to do so before. I did enjoy the growth he displayed over the course of the book.
What I’m hoping comes from this match, is Claudio being able to take Izzy to see the world and spread her wings in the way she deserves. With his family based in Andernach, and being a third son, he has more flexibility that allows him to offer more choice to Izzy which I know she’d love.1 Tracy Emro1,925 51

The Lennox sisters are ready to take the ton by storm, and there is no doubt that they will as they are beautiful and well-spoken, not to mention the fact that they are identical triplets! Isobel “Izzy” Lennox is the middle sister and the most impetuous and outspoken of the three, characteristics that are on full display when she has a run in with a drunk patron at a tavern they stop at on their way to London, the man pays her an outrageous compliment and then claiming to be a prince asks for a kiss, to which Izzy firmly puts him in his place. It isn’t until weeks later at her presentation to the queen that she learns that the drunk patron was the queen’s cousin, Prince Claudio of Andernach. They seem to take an instant dis of each other, but neither can deny the attraction they share. Izzy can’t seem to be civil to him, especially considering the wastrels he associates with, besides she has bigger issues to deal with, finding out the truth about her parentage and finding a husband. But Izzy and the prince seem to be drawn to each other, yet just when it seems they might find their own HEA, they once again find themselves at odds. Will they find their way to each other or were they never meant to be from the start?

Prince Claudio Friedrich Ferdinand of Andernach is the third son of the ruling prince of Andernach has come to England at the behest of his father to “find” his place and to take an English bride. But after years of strict court protocol, Claudio is more interested in his newfound freedom than thought of settling down and has fallen into a fast set of men who enjoy all the benefits of being rich, single men of the ton and begins drinking, gambling, and carousing. So, his first meeting with Izzy didn’t leave the best impression, when he mistook her for a tavern wench and in his inebriated state tried to cajole a kiss. And when they met again later, they just seemed to bring out the worst in each other. It isn’t until she saves him from being trapped in what could have been a compromising situation that they finally begin to get along. But despite his attraction, he is not sure if he is ready to settle down and battle with his conscience, which leads to some self-doubt, self-pity and even feelings of despair. When he finally confronts her, words are spoken that can’t be unsaid, but can they be forgiven, or has he lost his chance at love?

I d this story, the idea of triplets on a quest to find the truth of their parentage is so fresh and interesting that it is almost impossible not to be drawn into the series and the first book was very good, but sadly, this book didn’t really hit me. I never really connected with Izzy and Claudio, I found Izzy to be a very mercurial character who was quick to judge and slow to exonerate and at the same time, I thought that Claudio was quick to take offense and slow to learn from his mistakes. I am not sure when they fell in love, because they seemed to be fighting and purposefully cruel to each other right up to the end when the drama and the angst were cranked up. Overall, it was an OK read, but I was hoping for more advancement to their quest to learn about their parents, this book didn’t provide anything that wasn’t already revealed in the first book. This is the second book in the trilogy and could be read as a standalone title with no problems as the author provides plenty of backstory. While this book wasn’t my favorite, I am definitely looking forward to Anna’s story and hopefully getting answers to the mystery of their parents!

Miss Isobel and the Prince is a very humorous, enemies-to-lovers historical romance.

Unfortunately, they judged each other on first impressions at their first meeting. The prince mistook Isobel for a serving maid and drunkenly asked for a kiss. This did not go down well with Isobel who wasted no time reprimanding him sparking the beginning of their love-hate relationship.

I loved all the drama surrounding the triplet's debut and Claudio's reaction when he saw them.
Their various verbal spats at each social function after that were entertaining to read however, I got a little bit impatient with Isobela as I wanted her to let bygones be bygones and get to know the prince who was obviously smitten.

It would take a lot for the pair to become friends when not even the queen could convince Isobel to dance with him.

Isobel's character shone through when she put aside her misgivings about Claudio and came to his rescue when there was a plot to trap him into marriage. I really loved this scene especially as it saw the downfall of a couple of scheming ladies and it marked the beginning of Claudio and Isobel's friendship and flirtation.

Things ended in a nicely rounded way after a series of very dramatic events involving jealousy and a duel. I was expecting an emotional bedside illness scene with Claudio declaring his feelings but he didn't get an opportunity as his attempts to make amends were declined. Their inability to communicate properly caused unnecessary angst and delayed their happy ending. I could feel the relief of every side character when their betrothal was finally announced. The happy ending was worth the rocky road it took to get there.

Miss Isobel and the Prince is the second in the series but is a complete standalone novel. I am looking forward to reading Anna's story next and continuing with the mystery surrounding their father's identity and why their mother went into hiding with them as babies.arc Sophie1,288 560

I received an Advance Reader Copy from the publisher. This in no way impacted on my view.

After meeting a man who claimed to be a prince in a country inn en route to London, Miss Isobel Lennox believes she is ready to take on any of the rakes and rogues the capital throws at her. However, Prince Claudio is in fact a prince, and a cousin to the Queen, so is at every ton event that Isobel attends. She thinks she hates him, but is it not that she hates the feelings his presence incites, and the fact that her unknown parentage means that someone of his stature will never deign to marry an orphan from Scotland?

When I read Miss Rose and the Vexing Viscount, it was clear from the side interactions between Isobel and Claudio that they would have a cracking romance, and this book did not disappoint. From their very first meeting, they had chemistry which was palpable. Claudio was in England to visit with his cousin, Queen Charlotte, and also to find himself, after feeling restless back home in a German principality. He has found some 'friends' who are determined bachelors and would rather spend the majority of their time drinking and carousing, and because of this, Claudio is developing a similar reputation. He is drawn to Isobel, but can't quite understand why when she vexes him so much, and also seems to hate him. I d the development in Claudio, as he realised that the men who had first befriended him were not the right type of people, and those Viscount Ashbourne and the Earl of Garvald were better from him. It was funny the way their friendship formed, but the fact that Claudio was willing to do whatever it takes for Isobel was heartbreaking. Their love wasn't an easy one, but definitely worth it in the end! I can't wait for book three, and hope that Anna finds happiness with Garvald.2024-releases 4-stars arcs-read ...more Pam Robertson1,205 8

Although it adds to the enjoyment to have read the predecessor to this volume, you can read it as a standalone. This story focuses on the middle of the triplet sisters, so you see the journey to London and life in the Ton, through her eyes. All the three sisters may look similar but have different personalities and stand as individuals. Isobel is the impulsive middle sister, who has a practical streak but also yearns for romance. Aware that the mystery around their background means that they cannot aspire to the higher ranking gentlemen, nevertheless, Isobel knows that she must seek out a respectable husband, if she is to avoid being returned to her Scottish home at the end of the year.

This is a fast paced read which takes you through the Season. I enjoyed the descriptions of the various outings and balls which they are invited to. At most of them, Isobel meets Prince Claudio. a german relation of Queen Charlotte. He seems to be quite a mixed up young man, unsure of his path in life. He has fallen in with a racy set of men and is spending much of his time gambling, drinking etc. As the story progresses, you see him reevaluate his friends and what sort of life he wants to lead. This is an entertaining Regency romance, with lively characters and a lot of period detail. I am looking forward to the third in the series, to see what the youngest triplet, Anna gets up to.

In short: spend a season in the Ton
Thanks to the publisher for a copy of the book Susan133 7

Isobel Lennox has come to London from Scotland with her two sisters, they being identical triplets. Their mission is twofold: try to find husbands and try to discover any information they can about who their parents were.

While being presented to the queen, Isobel also meets the queen's cousin, Prince Claudio. She is surprised to find out that he is the somewhat intoxicated man she had seen before at a coaching inn on their way to London. Her first impression of him was not great, but as they spend more time in each other's company in London, Isobel and Claudio find a connection that at first puzzles them both.

Isobel knows that as her parentage is in question, and her dowry modest, she can never hope to be proposed to by a man who has a title and a fortune. She tries to resign herself to two suitors, neither of which she is enamored of, un Prince Claudio.

This story keeps one on their toes, and has some dramatic moments, as Isobel and Claudio's passion for each other grows, greatly. It was an enjoyable read. Jane HuntAuthor 3 books108

The middle book in the Triplet Orphan series features Isobel and Prince Claudio, an unly couple from the Ton's point of view as he is a cousin of the Queen and she has uncertain ancestry. I the ongoing mystery in this book as the three women search for their ancestral roots. The dialogue between the couple is delicious and wide-ranging, moving from flirtatious to more serious subjects. The chemistry is sizzling, but the Prince is enjoying his freedom. I the historical details that bring the story to life, the dynamic between the couple and the mystery gradually revealing its secrets.

This is the second book in the Triplet Orphans series by Catherine Tinley, and although it could easily be read as a standalone I would seriously recommend that it is read within the series to get the best from the story.

In Miss Isobel and the Prince, the story follows the middle triplet Isobel, and her enemies to lovers romance with Prince Claudio, a German prince who is in England to visit with his cousin Queen Charlotte. I loved the way they interacted, with acerbic wit and the ability to push one another’s buttons. When Isobel realised that Claudio was being coerced into a trap that would see him forced to marry, she stepped in to save him and from that point onwards, there was a warmth between them, albeit with a tendency to miscommunicate. Claudio clearly struggled with believing that he was ready to settle down, and aligned himself with some dissolute characters. As a character Isobel is perhaps the most obstinate of the triplets, with a strength of character that sets her apart from her sisters. I adored the way she repeatedly put Claudio in his place as a man, in spite of his status as a prince.

I really enjoyed the humour within this story, and found some literal laugh out loud moments, particularly in relation to Claudio’s morning habits.

I loved that we got a little more detail regarding the triplets maternal family, and look forward to Anna’s story next when we should find out more about their heritage. This has been such an enjoyable series so far, and I am definitely looking forward to the final instalment.

Miss Isobel and the Prince is a delightfully humorous enemies to lovers romance with some steamy moments and chemistry that will have you smiling from the very first chapter! Tyler Marshall677 39

An amazing regency romance!

I’ve been on a historical romance kick recently and this is one of my favourites I’ve read, from the settings to how the characters interact this is a novel that will instantly have you feeling you’re living back in time.

Isobel is a headstrong, take no sh*t character that had me rooting for her happy ending from the start. The plot is intriguing and keeps you wanting more, I think Claudio was perfect for our fmc and seeing these two together was such a treat. Can’t wait to read more in this series. I absolutely loved this next instalment of the triplet orphans series by Catherine Tinley. After being given the opportunity to have a season in London by their guardian the Lennox triplets stay with his sister Lady Ashbourne. Whilst in a London they are also trying to find out who their mother really was. When they are introduced to the Queen they meet her cousin Prince Claudio. An instant and interesting connection between triplet Isobel and Claudio develops with them both realising that they’ve met their match. The story follows how they try to deny their feelings for each other, but for how long? I love how each character is entwined and how their individuality shines through. Can’t wait for the third book about triplet Anna! Book Escapes Babs428 17
