Saved by the Warlord is the second book in the Alien Warlord Brides series and is a fated mates sci-fi romance. I feel this book was more sci-fi with a side of spice it’s not to much heat. I d both the main character of Lyric and Kaze. Lyric has been a slave since the age of 5 and at the age of 21 is on a slave ship and in the process of being taken back to the markets and resold when Kaze the captain of a warship starts having dreams about his mate and goes to find her. I d the interaction between the two main characters and it was nice to see Lyric find her confidence and inter strength after years of having no power over her self and her situation Carmen1,760 10

Sweet Freedom

I loved it. It was full of action and heated anticipation. Lyric’s warlord was a fierce warrior but a marshmallow inside when it came to his little human. I loved how he fought his baser desires in order to gain her trust. The I sexy times were so poetically described it was almost magical. Great job to Cass Carlton because I think the love scenes were the best part of the book and beautifully written. I can’t wait for the next book and see who finds a mate next. Brielle S106

Wonderful story

The story was great, the romance awesome. I loved Lyric, absolutely one of my favorite characters. However, I was disappointed in the lack of spice. It only went into partial detail the first time and was over far too quickly, then the rest of the time it just said they were intimatez and everything was behind closed doors if you get my meaning. Kaze a Vekriel warrior is having mate dreams and after a talk with his Captain decides there is a very ly chance his human woman is on a slave ship. Kaze is set up as the Captain of a smaller ship called Freedom and they find the ship with his mate Lyric. Lyric has been a slave since she was five and Kaze has a challenge. Dr susan2,607 41

Great romantic sci fi adventure

There is graphic violence, slavery, and sex. There is also good worldbuilding, more humor than I expected (Kaze drawing in...everything slayed me), and an interesting couple. There is more adventure than sex, and Lyric turned out to be a satisfying main character. Mr. & Mrs. Bernstein22 2

I found this book terribly dry and dull. So much telling, not enough showing. I'm sure the story was thought out well, but the execution just isn't remotely interesting enough for me to finish. So I didn't. I'm giving it 2 stars for the effort. But nothing more.
