Sinopsis

Everyone should know what you did

Sarah Taylor-Cox has received two threatening notes—notes which threaten to destroy everything she holds dear. Just getting through the days is a struggle—the cracks in her marriage are becoming ever more visible, her protectiveness of her baby is becoming overbearing...and the arrival of her sister, Maisey, along with her estranged mother and stepbrother, is certainly not helping matters!

For Maisey, watching the sister she's always looked up to struggling to stay sane is heart-breaking. She's determined to help, but being around family is unearthing long-buried memories, memories which Maisey hasn't let herself think about in years. And one particular echo from the past won't stop reverberating in her head...the cry of a frightened child.

"A growing sense of menace creeps through every page, leading to a nail biting final part!" — USA Today bestselling author Sue...

This is a book with six parts. Part 1 was a real teaser and makes me want to read the other five parts. Sarah and Maisey are sisters and it seems they had an awful childhood, full of abuse. They have not seen each other for several years. Maisey often works abroad as a nurse doing good work. Sarah appears to be married to the perfect man, but there are hints that this is not the case. Sarah receives an email "I know your secet. I'm going to tell." And there the first part ends leaving you wanting more.1 Randi Robinson637 12

Sarah has a handsome rich husband, a house in the Hamptons, a new baby, a "perfect" mother-in-law and some very snarky friends. Sarah is having trouble losing her baby weight and binge eats. Everyone keeps calling attention to her weight. Her husband even talks about it to his golf buddies. I couldn't believe that people were so rude, but then I am not rich and living in the Hamptons. I could sympathize with Sarah and I really despised her mother-in-law and friends. MIL is insisting on inviting Sarah's family, with whom she hasn't been in contact for years (I gather they are the definition of dysfunctional) to stay for a week, so she sends a letter to her sister Maisie, a nurse with Nurses Without Borders hoping that Sarah never receives the letter or will surely not come. To Sarah's dismay Maisie accepts. Then Sarah gets a letter that says "I know your secret . I'm going to tell". This is not the beginning as the description states. This comes at the end of this installment and leaves us hanging. I do not serial books. If I am really involved in a book I want to read the whole thing, not wait for installments. At least they will all be released at the same time, but at $1.99 per book this makes the story $11.94 or $9.98 if you buy it as 2 boxed sets. This is more than I generally pay for Kindle books so even though I really enjoyed it I doubt that I will buy it. Maybe the library will get it. Andrew185 4

Very quick read. Interesting enough to consider the future 5 parts. So 3 stars is based on where the story has left me. Story is told from alternating perspectives. Sarah, who is married to the seemingly perfect man, and Maisey, who is running around the world trying to prevent long term commitments. Both sisters apparently have lived through trauma in their childhood. Both are dealing with the shared trauma in what appears to be different ways but I sense that it is different sides of the same coin.

The first 5 chapters, which represents the 1st installment, build the character of both sisters. It ends with a mysterious text received by Sarah.

This book held my attention just enough that I'll read the next part.

Sarah thinks she has it all, perfect husband, perfect house, perfect life, but we find this isn't true. Her husband and his mother are very subtle about it, but very condescending. Her friends are snarky and insulting also.

Sarah and her sister are both running from the past , each in their own way. I suspect we will find the past will catch up to them. Ann1,112 6
