I'm fking SCREAMING. Summer's Snow was a strong debut, but Fall's Thorns is in a completely different league!
Plot progression, character development, twists, prophecies, and world building. Literally everything you could ask for in a romantasy. The pacing is *chef's kiss* and I was hooked from the very first page
The miscommunication trope was a little heavy for the first 20%, but honestly it added to the depth of the characters (a trope I usually cannot stand)
I'm gnawing at the bars of my enclosure for book 3! This one was a wild ride and I cant wait to be back in this world
**this book is a sequel to Summers Snow, which is a Snow White retelling with court politics, magic training, deception, and some kick-ass characters! Please dont start with this book as it will not make any sense without reading book 1**7 s2 comments McKenzie Healy80
If the quote But what is grief, if not love persevering? Was a book it would be Falls Thorns.
Falls Thorns was one of my most anticipated books of 2024. And after finishing I can confidently say it blew me out of the water with my expectations.
I had so many theories and hopes going in after reading Summers Snow, and even if my theories were wrong at times, the suspense, twists and turns were beyond my hopes for the sequel.
This book does deal with a lot of grief, as did the first book. But with Mishas grief it is so incredibly raw and real it just cuts into your heart and pierces your soul. It made me sob for hours, but her story and her mental health journey is so incredibly important and most of all so beautiful and real.
Alongside the grief, is such great world building getting to meet more characters, get background on the lore and magic and creatures!! Was so so fun. I literally felt I was watching a movie as I was reading it was so vivid and stunning.
I ended this book with wait for it
. 891 highlights and 156 notes so needless to say a time was had.
