Sinopsis

Jamie loves her job at the local shoe store, right in the heart of Elmwood Mall. A firm believer in placing comfort over fashion trends, Jamie is always quick to help customers find a shoe that they'll actually enjoy. So when Rebecca, a pretty new woman in town, comes to Jamie asking for advice about boots, Jamie tells her to follow her heart instead of the trends.

It was an interaction like many others Jamie has had over the years, yet this one sticks with her. Something about the sunny woman with shiny black hair and a penchant for riding boots captures Jamie's attention in a way no one else has in a long time. When the two of them run into each other again, and then yet again at a hockey game, Jamie begins to wonder if fate is at work.

Yet not everything in Jamie's life is perfect. Unexpected news from her best friend and roommate puts her housing situation at risk, and even worse, her beloved job at the shoe store becomes threatened. With her carefully cultivated routine being dashed to pieces, Jamie begins to feel like things are spiraling out of control. Will Jamie manage to right the ship, embrace the changes, and tell Rebecca how she feels to boot? Or is Elmwood Mall doomed to lose its best shoe store?
