"The Lord of Light" is a fantasy romance that introduces readers to a world of intrigue and power struggles among a cast of compelling characters. The story revolves around Alarie Armand, a headstrong heroine thrust into the midst of war, magic, and love.

What I d about this book and the first books was the side characters and the overall story concept.

What I dis is the lack of a substantial connection between Alarie and her various love interests. The rapid succession of relationships leaves me yearning for more depth and emotional connection.

I want to state that my personal preference is that I don't love triangles and multiple love interests it's just not my style, but if you enjoy love triangles, this book is for you. I am giving this book a 4 star, though. Even though I don't the love triangle, the storyline, and the characters I did love.

I read this as an eARC and am voluntarily leaving a review. This book was amazing! I it even more than the first book in the series, which i didn’t think was possible going into this, but was really really happy with how much the world building and character dynamics had developed between the two books. Alarie has really grown as a character which I loved seeing and I enjoyed the relationships that were developed between her and all the possible love interests. They were all amazing characters I think I have a whole new harem of book boyfriends because of this series. Luke, Cass, Rhett and Nix were all great in their own ways. Nick was very sweet and willing to put Alarie before his duty and Cass and Rhett were both so kind and caring towards Alarie and always made her safety their priority, while Nix was every morally gray fae boyfriend of my dreams. The sarcasm, the nicknames, the training seasons so that she could develop her powers and learn how to defend herself…*chef’s kiss*. I really, really hope there is going to be a third book especially after that cliffhanger of an ending. Erica Egel57 2
