I saw this recommended by Six Sisters Stuff on Instagram, loved the cover, it was only $2.99, so I bought it thinking I'd read it here and there for the next few weeks.

WRONG.

I picked it up at 8:00 one night, and finished at 3:00 in the morning. Good thing I didn't have school that day because I was useless.

I. COULD. NOT. PUT. IT. DOWN. Yes--that had to be put in all caps.

This was me....all night long.

What I thought was going to be an easy, light read was highly addictive, had some kind of scary moments, and OMG some swoon worthy moments!!!!

I loved Grace. She was funny, REAL, and I loved that she got stronger throughout the book. She didn't start out super brave and strong. Moments throughout the book taught her to be. And lets be honest, I LOVED how she talked about eating throughout the book. What girl doesn't love to eat?

Miles.

Can we just thank the author for bringing Miles to life? I was so happy there wasn't instalove here, it developed over time, and HALLELUJAH MILES WASN'T A JERK!!! Every YA book I read the hero is so mean to the girl, and somehow the girl still falls for him. Miles was sweet, funny, charming, and can we just take a minute and talk about that kiss? The SIX YEAR ONE????!!??

Hannah was a fantastic character too. I cared about her right from the start. Also with Annie. And Matthew. And other characters that I can't say because it'll ruin some of the BEST twists in the book.

I loved loved loved this book. The only complaint I have is that I didn't know it was the first in a series. I actually threw my kindle on the floor when it ended, then spent the next hour searching out Janessa Burt and breathing a sigh of relief when I saw the second is coming out in September.

Is it September yet?4 s Claiborne1 review

It moved very quickly and was hard to put down. I am a little disappointed to have to wait for book #2 to come out now. I did take a star off for some technical things. Some of the grammar is a little off and there may be some historical inaccuracies. For example, even an elderly modern-day British person would not say he was "mad" if he was angry. He might say something more "cross" because "mad" meant "crazy". It obviously didn't bother me too much because I had a hard time putting the book down and will still get the second when it comes out. And, let's face it, you sort of have to suspend reality anyway when you are asking about a story with a time traveling mirror. Overall good read.3 s Mandy1,025 50

I am officially intrigued and ready to read the next book! This story has such a neat premise. Grace lives in the modern day, when she is transported back in time through a mirror, she finds herself in the Regency era. I love the mystery in this book and that it is totally unpredictable. Miles is already a favorite and the secondary characters are so well-written, I'm definitely hooked. Grace is a little stubborn, but I still her character and am cheering for her to solve what is really going on. So many great twists and so many excellent swoony moments! Definitely an enjoyable read you will not want to put down.
This is a clean read. 4.5 stars.

This book by Janessa Burt is one I bought for my birthday. It was one that was recommended by a friend on Instagram. And then it sat on my shelf for a really long time. But it’s so good!

I loved Grace in this book. She is so spunky. In the first chapter, she’s in the present day time and she has to defend herself. I love that Grace is not afraid to do that when she needs to. But then she ends up being pushed through a mirror. And she’s in the past.

Grace is still Grace even in the past. She says things that confuse the people around her who actually belong in the past. But she also is able to help those around her. And she’s still willing to defend herself and others when she needs to.

I loved this book! And I need to read the next one right away!2 s Leslie Books and Socks Rock760 21

This was a book club pick and I don’t know if I’d read it without book club picking it but I’m so glad I did! This is a time traveling book to Regency times. I love Miles and he’s so grumpy, glaring and Miles later in the book (
