Sinopsis

The final installment in the trilogy from the #1 New York Times bestselling author.

Dinaric Alps, Bosnian region of Austrian Hungarian Empire, 1918

After four Allied soldiers stumble across a biological weapon that could bring devastation to the world, they take a vow to keep it from falling into the wrong hands. Ever since, the deadly substance—code-named Kestrel—has been guarded by the descendants of those four brave men, each with the mission of keeping its existence a secret.

Chesapeake Bay, August 2003

The wife of former CIA director Jonathon Root has been kidnapped, and no one except Root himself knows who carried out the crime or why. His grandfather had been one of the soldiers responsible for stealing Kestrel, and now a group of Bosnian terrorists are trying to force Root to hand it over.

Enter agent Briggs Tanner. His mission: follow a trail through the Alps, to the heart of where it all began. At risk: Millions of lives lost, starting with his own.

Excellent story

Last part of trilogy of well-written story of evil in the world and our ways of dealing with t them.
Based mostly over seas, shows the courageous and dedicated people who are in charge of keeping us safe. Loved the series and characters.1 Rosemary Dreyer1,249 5

My biggest frustration with this e-book was all of the typos and misspelled words. It was incredibly distracting and irritating, and dampened my enjoyment of the novel. Of the three Briggs Tanner books I’ve read, this was the clearest in plot and easy to follow. It had mostly well-developed characters; an intriguing story; and pretty good writing. But I’m done with this author. Not worth the aggravation. PatriciaAuthor 12 books13

I think that many men might enjoy the story with its fights and weaponry more than I did, but I did enjoy the story. Blackwood writes well, which is more than I can say for a lot of action/adventure writers. In my opinion the plot was logical--if a bit stretched--and ended as I wanted it.

His biography states the following:

"A U. S. Navy veteran, Grant spent three years aboard a guided missile frigate as an Operations Specialist and a Pilot Rescue Swimmer." Tammy Lee Benson19 Read

Good

this is a good fast paced novel. Lots of action and suspense. Good read.
This whole series of books was poorly edited and rife with misspelled or completely incorrect words. Needs a better editor. I do not blame the author.Grant Blackwood did a fantastic job with this story Mark2,293 23

Fun but.....

Fun book, but the amount of typos and grammar errors is beyond belief. The author and editors did a really bad job proof reading Chip Daly34 1 follower
