I enjoyed the story. It’s short with explicit sex.

This is a romance story with a happy ending. The hero is tall, dark, handsome and listed as a terrorist by the US government. He is Moslem and has a home in Syria. He kidnaps an American woman Viviana who is working as a translator in Afghanistan.

Viviana fears that he will force sex on her, but he pleasures her so well that she begs him to have sex with her. There are about four erotic explicit sex scenes.

The hero’s character was not developed. I had questions about his background, motivations, and actions. The US government/CIA is a bad guy in this story.

The author used many Arabic phrases. I was pleased that she put the translations immediately after the phrases. That’s the best way to do foreign words - IMO. ( I hate it when an author puts translations in a glossary at the end of the book.)

At the end of the book under Author’s Notes the author mentions atrocities occurring in Syria and says “It is my hope that the suffering of the Syrian people becomes important to us all.”

Sexy Dirty read! I'm so in love with Muhammad he's really cute but also SEXY and Viviana ( I her name btw.) is a totally girl crush!. She's sassy and tough. The banter between these two very funny. And don't get me start with the sex scene, you know this book is from Jaid Black so the sex scene is very Hot SMOKING HOT!!! . I'm going to get my hand to book two in this series immediately since I see it's already came out!. Good job Jaid Black!

I haven't read anything from Jaid Black in awhile. I've always enjoyed her OTT eroticas filled with aliens, and other other-worldly characters all having scorching hot sex in descriptive scenes that are both arousing and disturbing. When I saw that she released this book, I was excited to get my hands on it because I already know just what to expect out of a Jaid Black book. And this one definitely did not disappoint.

I enjoyed this book because it was realistic and contemporary. It portrait the current society in war-torn Syria. It depicted the life of American dignitaries who work for the government, aiming to achieve global peace while knowing that any moment, their lives and positions in that country was in danger. That's why I really admired this book's heroine. Aside from being smart, she was brave and principled. The hero was a true, possessive alpha that any romance reader would enjoy.

For a book that has sex written all over it, $old also holds a solid plot, so I really enjoyed it. I see that there's a book with which features a familiar character. I hope I get the time to insert it in between my current list of reads.4-stars contemporary-romance erotic-romance ...more Ellen163
