Kellan Firebrand by Barb Han
Texas Firebrands Series Book Eighteen
Kellan Firebrand’s story is the last in this series. The author did a fabulous job of making him likable. Kellan seemed a bad guy with his temper. He was divorced, and his cousin Corbin married her. Corbin’s book explains it all. It ends up that Kellan had a lot on his shoulders as the eldest of the “bad Firebrands.”
Kelsey Sheppard had chosen the most popular guy in school. Got married and helped and supported him for twenty years. Her parents had disowned her, and she felt she had no other choice than the life she’d had. Until he left, worse, she made a terrible choice, and now her life was in danger.
Kelsey ended up hiding in Kellan’s shed. And whether she wanted help with her problem or not...Kellan wasn’t taking no for an answer.
As the finale, everything is tied up in a nice bow at the end.

"Hindsight gives near perfect vision"

Kellan and Kelsey have both made mistakes, both have regrets...but the fact that they have those regrets, shows that they are good people at heart.
Kellan has made more mistakes than most, or so he feels, but one of his biggest regrets is hesitating and letting Kelsey slip through his fingers all those years ago. So getting the chance to keep her safe and help her now - no hesitation, he is all in. I love that they get a second chance at love and that in doing so they learn to forgive themselves and others, allowing the healing of the Firebrand family to continue.
As much as I enjoyed this book and I Kellan and Kelsey, I am disappointed that it is littered with typos such as "shudders" instead of "shutters". A simple typo but a completely different word that makes no sense in the sentence - frustrating. Cynthia Siermienski1,966 4

KELLAN: Firebrand Cowboys (Texas Firebrand Book 15)

This book was just as good as all the others. The way the women got into trouble and the way the men stepped up was heartwarming and made this and all the other books great reading. Debra Reeves537 3
